FYI Prodigit does seem to have found a way to post on this forum from another dimension where things are always faster, and the laws of physics do not apply and BP fuel contains magic That's funny

FYI, I think scootnwinn is either jealous, or he's just a crappy modder! I mean, if he was even paying attention he would know that I'm not the only one who gets these speeds out of a stock taotao. Then I laugh when they buy expensive performance mods, and do all kind of shizz that makes their scoot slower than my stock one! I don't think you've figured out when most people are paying attention to what you've posted, they are laughing. The rest are just ignoring you

Isn't aviation gas only red colored kerosine? I believe they use it in tractors and military vehicles too. Nope. Av Gas is 100 Low-Lead.

Poor dude all he wanted to know is if his speed was normal. I apologize for my obvious thread jacking I just feel sometimes there should be a disclaimer. Ok so how fast is your 125?

its always better to use a higher octane in these engines . not that u have to use like me but there is a better chance of a cleaner system with higher oct. and some do have prob with a low oct fuel.

I was gonna ask a fuel question in a separate thread anyhow. LOL! So, I have the convenience of having two ethanol-free gases available to me on the way to work: Citgo octane and Chevron 87 octane. Is running a higher octane of any benefit to me? Also, got my permit on Friday (Woo hoo ), so I rode the scoot in to work on Saturday morning. Fabbed up a cell-phone mount while I was at work so I can check my speed by GPS. Top speed teeter-tottered between 49 and 50 mph. Also, at my top speed, my tach indicated right at 8K rpm.

FYI the first 1/2-3/4 gallon you pump is whatever the last guy used. It is left in the line, so chances are, most of the time you are actually using 87 and don't even know it.
My 125 got a gps verified 62 I think. It's in my sparkles build thread if you want to see it.

Citgo has the second to worst fuel in s fl. Chevron is by far the worst of them all.

I honestly have never noticed any difference between brands. I have noticed that just about every small engine I have ever owned ran like crap on premium... The BP fuel I tried once on vacation evaporated before I could use it... :# D8
