Thanks to all who threw in their 2 cents on the "Seeking advice" thread. I put about 50 miles on today. I'm so glad I went with this scooter. Attachments:

I did like the Morphous, but I don't think I could live with that radical look long term. I really like the Super 8 looks. I can't believe how nice and light it handles. Yet it still feels stable. I will reserve judgment on the power until it's broken in. But it's got enough for now. Attachments:

Nice scooter!
Change the oil before 100 miles, then 500 and then every 1000 - 1500 miles. Change the gear oil every second or third oil change.
Check the valves at 500 miles, then every 2500 miles.
That Kymco Super 8 should last a very long time with virtually zero repairs. Nothing to worry about but riding it and having a fantastic time!

Thanks everyone, I have oil for the first few changes and a 60 ml syringe for putting in the gear oil. Can't wait to ride some more. I've got to wait till it cools off a little here, it's out with a heat index of 102. I'll go for an evening ride later. The Kymco is really nice, the light easy handling and excellent brakes give me confidence on the twisty back roads I've ridden. After 12 years without a bike I'm glad I went with a scooter.

Nice to see you're enjoying it. Should be a solid bike for certain. Take good care of her

I really like the look of the body on that scooter. Whether or not you are going fast, it looks fast. Congratulations on your purchase.

howdy dash and congrats' on the kymco. i had their 250 and was pleased with the 8,000 trouble free miles it gave me and it probably is still going strong. it got me back on wheels after 8 years of total disability. i don't know that is why you were without a motor but if so this should be good---and reliable. i still couldn't walk far if it stopped out in the boonies. anyway--
lotsa miles and smiles to ya ken
