My scoot runs just fine, until I top off the fuel tank. Then it bogs down and sometimes stalls when I come to a stop. It backfires sometimes as well. After a few minutes of riding it doesn't do it anymore. What could this be?

Could be the little check valve that vents the fuel tank....A coworker of mine just bought a Taotao 150cc and got a bad valve, It wasn't venting hardly at all and would bog the scoot down until he shook the bike then it would run fine for a few minutes.

Sounds like your overfilling it . When I bought my TaoTao during the PDI with my dealer he said to NEVER fill it up above the the line that prevents the gas nozzle from getting into the tank . Overfilling you may get gas instead of vapor into the vapor canister

Yes it does sound like you are overfilling it and having problems until the overflowing fuel has been dealt with.

DX Overfueling, causes the vacuum line to suck fuel instead of fuel vapor. A dumb piece of chinese egineering that causes more trouble than good.

[replyingto=ilovenxstage]ilovenxstage[/replyingto]I would tear all that evap crap out, plug up the vac line,, then just run a line from the vent to highest ground back behind the seat zip tied and attach a fuel filter to it,,no more filling or clogged charcoal canister evap issues after that....
