I got a Silver Bullet Tomos Moped when I was maybe 13 years old. I've been looking for pictures but not sure I have any. I don't remember what cc the motor was but it was fun. Fun till I rode up my driveway one day and it just quit. I think there was dirt in the tank or something, but never got it going again.
I sold it for $200 years later.
My current scooter is my second. I've had 4-wheelers and dirtbikes too though.

[replyingto=domindart]domindart[/replyingto]June, 1964, in England for the summer. My Uncle let me ride his Puch Moped. I had to pedal up Shooter's Hill. A moped is not a scooter. A scooter needs to have floorboards. November 1964, my 18th birthday, got a new Honda CA110 Sport 50, a motorcycle. A motorcycle is not a scooter. A scooter needs to have floorboards.
October 11, 2012, I get my first scooter, a Vespa LX150. Legally and actually it is a motorcycle. But it is also a "scooter" since it does have a floorboard.

I got my Honda Zook late last year, some time in the fall. (First scooter I ever saw in person)
Then I got my Great Leap in January of this year. (Second scooter I ever saw in person (unless you count the DiBlasi, which I don't.) It's my first "real" scooter and I traded a Nabi2 tablet and an HP Touchsmart laptop for it.

If we only count scooters defined strictly by Paladin's description I bought my first scooter in August 2011 Jonway YY150T-2 if we count motorcycles I have had a motorcycle of some sort for the last 20 years from 80cc's to 1100cc's. My Vespa though is "the one" I am loving this machine it is what a scooter should be

My 1975 49cc MotoBecane Mobyette which I bought new in 1975 had mini floorboards so fits Paladin's criteria sorta. Gas tank was part of the frame and it was a CVT drive. Mine had a windshield, saddlebags and even turn signals. You started it by decompressing the head and kicking the pedal backwards. My other vehicle during the gas crisis at that time was a 1970 PowerWagon W200 E20 Special with the 440 cu in V8 and the 3 ton payload which did not sip gas. The 175 mpg of the Mobyette was quite a relief making the 25 mph more tolerable.

Back in "73" I got what was called a mini bike. It had a 5 hp briggs engine. In "74" I got my first honda 50. Been riding motorcycles of various kinds since. I got my first actual scooter in 2009, a renegade 50.

I got a schwinn 49cc for $300.00 last spring. Drove 6 hrs round trip to get it. The kid had shoved a 125 carb on it and ran it with no air filter or mud flap. (People are such idiots). After getting the right carb and fixing it up and adding a no rev limit cdi and high output coil some worthless piece of $#!t stole it. Then I bought my second scoot a yellow peace motorsports 49cc which just needed a new cvt belt for 200 dollars. It ran and drove great. I put a bbk, high flow head and a bunch of other mods on it but it still wasnt fast enough so I sold it for 400 and built my custom 150/49cc swap. www.itistheride.boards.net/index.cgi?board=cbs&action=display&thread=1788
