Sears sold scooters under the "Allstate" label that were actually made by Vespa.

Bought my first last year Angel 50. Had it 3 months and some one stole it. Replaced it with another Angel. Bought a Lance Duke 250 this year.

I remember reading somewhere that scooters have a higher rate of theft that even sports cars.

Nothing worse that having your ride stolen from you but life goes on. Had a disk lock on it so they had to pick it up and cart away but Angel only weighs 200 lbs at most. Plus cars usually have alarms where as most bikes don't.

Paladins definition is too exclusive in my opinion.

Or is the question too specific?

I got my first scoot this week,, Its a Taotao EVO ATM 150-A and I love it so far,,have had many MC's over my lifetime from Honda 50's to Honda VTX 1800,,I think the 45 mph scoot is the funnest toy I ever had,,If I knew what I was missing I would have got one a long time ago instead of laughing at them from my MC. I have the disease now,,Im a scootaholic!! Good Times....

Hi First motorbike when i was 6 a Rupp Roadster, first moped in 1974 a Motobecane , first motorcycle in 1979 a Harley Davidson XLCR 1000, first proper scoot in 1987 a Derbi DS50 Take care and ride safely dear friend Yours Hank Do you miss the Motobecane? Kinda a love hate relationship. Too bad Massachusetts was strictly enforcing the 25 mph limit when I had mine or I would have deristricted it. Was there a big jump between the Derby/Aplilia DS50 and your current Aprilia SR50?

I bought my only scooter 2008. He's my first motorised two-wheeler ever.
However, going by paladin's definition, the little kick-scooter I got for my nieces would count. It has a floor board.... ;D

30 years ago we got a used Suzuki moped from my husbands boss. It had no title so we never bothered with plates. It was great on the backroads and my daughter loved riding it around the yard. We still have it. Have to kickstart it. Lights don't work. Vinyl seat has practically rotted away. But kick start it and it still runs.
Bought a Yamaha Vino 125 2 years ago. Can't get a temp permit in Florida so my husband got the vino and now I have a Bintelli.
