[replyingto=peacedawg]peacedawg[/replyingto]Mikuni is your best bet. Electric can work if you can keep the pressure low. Electric will make a cold start start faster esp if it has sat for a week or so. Mikuni is just to easy.

The Mikuni also has a rebuild kit so it's easy to fix yourself.

If the gas tank is above the carb no need as gravity will feed it . If you have the gas tank in the floorboard ETC then a Mikuni pump is a great upgrade . A carb does not require much PSI in the fuel line as EFI does

fuel pump

I have a JCL MP250A with the Linhai 257 engine. I replaced my orig pump with a Mr Gasket 42s elec pump. It is more work as u have to run a switched wire with a inline fuse etc and I replaced all my fuel lines several yrs ago at the same time. I starts at the touch of the button and I have no run out of fuel at higher speeds because of the lack of vacumn. So far I have had no problems. The vacumn pumps are good also just get the best one u can. If I turn the key and don't hear the pump I know its not going to start because of fuel. Hope this helps. Barnie
