So stock is 15/51... 13-1 ratio... stupid low... I'm not looking for 80mph but at least faster than stock... I'm running a bbk 100cc with 26mm carb n a UNI filter... it has good power n tops off too fast... im doing 51mph says my gps... can't trust the chinometer... so I want some suggestions on gears... three choices... 17-41, 16-42, or 18-46???

18/46 is 2.61 ratio for me would be too sluggish on hills and take off if you are on flat ground mainly id do it but i have too many hills

Figures don't lie but,, Lie-rs can Figure Man u got to do the numbers, No fun if you don't. If I did the numbers... I wont be here asking now would I??? I figure someone here would of already done it... I'm just looking for better top speed where my engine isn't whining out... only reason I got 51mph with down wind cuz of the bigger variant or... stock variant or got me 45mph. If you have 15/51 go with 18/46 Alleyoop Is that the biggest top end??? Might be too much... I'm only looking for milder top end... so what are the 17-41 n 16-42??..

So is that 15/51 your primary or secondary gears? Btw..I know what you mean..my 2 stroke came with 13.5:1 Nice I suppose if I want to drag race...cause the rpm's get up there fast. The 18/46 would give that set of gears a 2.55:1 ratio...so for over all ration you would need to know what your other gears are...then do some math. But if alleyoop suggests 18/46...he is a very wise man on the GY6 Scoots and has done gear swaps.

Figure it this way, and you decide, for every TOOTH UP AND 1 DOWN REALISTICALLY you will gain 3-4 mph and figure on the 3mph that way if you will be pleasantly surprised and pleased if you get a little better. So with the 18/46 you should get anywhere from 8-10 mph it all depends on your rpms. Alleyoop

Hi Out of your three choices i would go with the 18/46 also, once they are installed your going to have to fine tune your roller weights I went with 17/49 with 8.5 gram sliders on my 4t bbk scoot, topend 54 to 55mph at 8,500 rpms Take care and ride safely my friend Yours Hank

As long as you have the power to push the gears you'll be fine im gonna do another 16/50 set on my new one on the way i can't sacrifice too much low end torque or hill climbing power, too many hills and stop and go where i drive

What size rollers r u running and what are your rpms at top speed? Umay gain top end with a heavier roller weight. And just like millsc said you may not have the power to push the bigger gears
