Put it away for the summer. It's in our winter home in Florida.

Another boring day where I just started it up and rode the 40 minutes to work and than after 8 hours rode it back home again. Thought about how I will need to check the oil level at 15,600 miles and then change it at 18,600 miles. Now that the bike is 2 years old I may wait until the 18,600 mile service to take care of the brake and coolant flush or maybe do it sooner just to mix things up. Sometimes feel like the Maytag Repair Man.

I had a good productive day.
Added a kick stand which also gave the center stand the 1/4" more it was needing to be stable.
Pulled the fuel/oil tank and connected the wire to my right rear blinker.
figured out why the signal indicator wasn't working and fixed it.
Adjusted the clutch freeplay to the proper spec.
Lubed the Speedo cable hopefully it won't bounce any more
Torqued the head bolts
And gave it a polish
She is now 100% race ready for the weekly commute

Nothing. I need to start cleaning the engine for the rebuild, hopefully will have that done Tuesday. Ordering parts possibly tonight or tomorrow. Should be up and running by the weekend, depending on when the parts arrive. I can't wait to get it over with to be honest.

Today I ran out of fuel and pushed it home. Then I changed the fuel and vac lines and accidentally splattered gasoline in my face. After that I changed my needle setting. After all that mess, it runs better .

After all that mess, it runs better . I ran out of fuel 3 or 4 times last year. One time I had to "only" push it a few miles, got to Wallyworld to pump some gas AFTER they closed. I tried using a credit card, but for some reason it wasn't working. I got maybe 7 cents out of it--- tried another pump, too. Anyway, it was enough to get me a mile to the next gas station, to where all was good there but still. Thankfully scoots have good gas mileage.

Did my 15,600 mile oil level check adding a few drops on principle, put on a new Dunlop 404 rear tire (got almost 9,000 miles from the Pirelli MT66) and did the first valve adjustment check which really should have been done at 12,500 miles.
On the Aprilia 250 the machining is very tight with the 2 intake valves set at .1 mm and the 2 exhaust valves at .15 mm. The valves were all about .01 mm to .02 mm loose so 1/10 to 1/8 turn of the adjusters corrected that. Almost didn't bother with such a small amount off but since I had it open I reset them and the bike starts more easily now.
Job was pretty easy as there are 3 access panels that once removed give you excellant access to the valve cover and head. Did not have to remove the seat bucket or rear body of the bike to do the work.
By 15,000 miles I would have done at least 7 if not 10 valve adjustments on my Lance Vintage and possibly have been on the third head by then. Now I just get to ride the Aprilia for another 3,200 miles and it will be time to change the oil and filter again.

Well its what ive been doing for the last month.
Took out the 100ccBBK from scrappy that was junk $200bucks for nothing but problems. got a 80cc kit from chinesepartswholesale.com for $41.00 installed it and it runs great and not one problem.
Just for the lack of nothing to do I started painting the scoot it was Red and black so I went with white and put stripes like the old camaros on it in blue came out pretty good wish i could post pics maybe i will try later.
but luckey enough everything has gone pretty well they sent me with the 80cc kit new rollers but didnt tell what the weight was so weigned them they came up as 8.6 I have 7.0 in it and put the 8.6 in this morning dont know if i like them yet.
other than that not much else going on

Ordered some more parts for it. Thinking about changing grips, too, although I'm not sure how easy it is or how to go about it.
