I got a new cylinder head to my engine today. 30 mm intake valve and 26 mm exhaust valve and larger ports also. IMO the exhaust port is a bit to big. It's 28mm... We always want a little backpressure on the exhaust side, if we don't have it some of the fuelmixture in the cylinder can be blown out during the overlap. Will mount it soon and we'll see how it perform...

i haven't done anything to it today but i did just order nearly $200 in parts. new exhaust, carburetor, Pirelli tires and air box/filter. was planning on saving for a new scoot and keep my old scoot running with minimal investment but i just couldn't help myself. i'm drooling over the thought of new parts. ;D

I took my zook's cvt cover off for the first time today. The first time in probably 23 years. Surprisingly, even though it's kinda rusty and there's belt residue all over the place the Bando belt looks brand new! It's something like "21300 g9z 0030" and I can't find one anywhere. It's a really tiny skinny belt, it's no wonder the zook can only go 33mph! I tried taking the variator off but it's stuck on there. Probably rusted on from the other side.
I give up on it for now. Hopefully that guy on facebook has some parts so I can make it look pretty again!

All my Electrical isn't working so i took off the front shroud, and the back tail light, and hooked the tails to the headlight. Then just used a crimping clip, and i clip it in when i want to ride at night, other then that leave it out. Then i went for a small ride up to Autozone, and down to the beach.

I can hear break pads in my future.
I changed the oil and gear oil today.
I feel a new uni air filter is in my future.
God knows I need flat black paint job but I am just too damn cheap.

I pulled the CVT cover off mine, and carefully dremeled the cover so that I now have an exposed clutchbell. I also painted the clutchbell hi-temp bright red, so it looks pretty. Will get pics of it tomorrow. Might even pull the cover back off and paint it gloss black. But first,......I gotta re-dial the A/F screws on my Katana tomorrow
