I think its the worse looking part on any scooter ! It also has to have some drag too.
Anyone delete theirs? I remember seeing a post about it somewhere but now I cant find it.

I have been thinking a out how ugly they are also. I'm just going to shorten mine up some so that nothing hangs below the bottom of the tag.

Mine fell off awhile back. There's still a decent amount of plastic back there, just the little mud flap is gone.

If you build a curved lip on the fender it will not splash anything under the scoot. Some Scoot Fenders already come built with a curve on the end of it. Alleyoop

On most scoots once the rear tire hugger is defeated then your wiring harness, CDI, coil, carb and air box can take a beating as everthing gets thrown up on top of the engine by the rear tire.
It also protects you from getting splashed from behind which on a dry day can be from a puddle left behind by a trash hauler. Don't want that stuff coming at me from behind.
Beside I don't see the mud flap from the riding position. Really bought the bike to ride not to look at.

Many seem to be too long and should be curved away from the tire instead of wrap around it . My Magnum the mud flap is a two piece design . I took off the bottom section and dang it sprayed water on my back . If you have a rear trunk it should block some rear tire spray .

Using rear trunk to catch the dirt slung by the tire and then you may have to deal with a troublesome trunk lock afterwards too.
