And if you get lucky, and just need to replace it, use a lockwasher and above all DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!! You could snap it or even worse, strip it right out of the threads. That aluminum is soft. Just snug it up ;D If it leaks, tighten a little more

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]That is a really bad practice. If a press isn't available, I would think he would at least use a brass hammer, or a block of wood I've done that in the past, being in a hurry, and screwed things up like that too

[replyingto=steelace]steelace[/replyingto]Hopefully. the stud fell out. In which case it would be very simple. get a set of exhaust studs, and a gasket and just replace them. However, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks like it snapped off, In which case it's not so easy. You need to remove the head and try to extract the stud with an easy out. If thats the case, youre better off getting a new head, as you will need new gaskets & studs. If you do buy a head, you need to get the studs and exhaust gasket seperate. I wish you the best of luck and it just fell out.

I built a motor with a 50mm BBK, 47 mm head, A9 cam & 20mm carb.I opted to use the exhaust that came on the bike because it 's the 2 stroke type with the expansion chamber.(ill see if I can post a pic) What size jet should I start with? I put an in and it's lousy performance. I also drilled more holes in the airbox for more airflow, I adjusted the fuel-air mix for max idle. If I can't improve this, I'm putting the original 50cc back in. It performed way better than the new 83cc

Update: I got an orange cdi from the local shop (the same one I tried before, and it did,nt work) i figured cause i had the extra wire on it for the speed sensor. since disconnected) anyway, I asked for another& he had an old used one hanging around. Guess what? the used one works! It doesnt seem to be rev limited because it revs high. But it takes too long. I put the 20mm carb with an jet in, and drilled 6 3/8 " holes in the bottom of the airbox. still too slow to rev to speed. any ideas? I've already removed the 6 gram sliders, and put in the 5's

I put in an orange ( high output) coil and it was running fine. I shut it down to add some gear oil & suddenly, no more spark not even with the original coil. Anybody have a similar experience? I'm thinking the cdi is burnt. It was originally restricted by a speed sensor on the clutch bell, but I dsconnected that about 500 miles ago and it didnt seem to be rev limited so I used it with no problem until the upgrade. It was firing just fine, and now nothing

I got the exhaust gasket and installed it, fired it up all good I had the orange coil hooked up, but not attached to the frame yet.I removed the stock coil, and bolted on the new one, Now no spark >:(no spark with the old one either. Checked all wires, look fine. Who has the diagram for the ac cdi? i need to check voltage on the terminals HELP!!
