are these scooters worth the money?

or are these another Tao Tao / Peace Sports
type brand ?

i cannot seem to find out where they are manufactured

i did happen across a forum where someone stated they
''think they are made in china my ZHEN''

can anyone prove otherwise or back this statement ?

some insight or experience ?

i am looking at a used scooter in showroom condition with 50 miles on it
priced at 850$

Put another 200 miles on this cracked piston since the post date,

broke as heck, so i am going to run this top end into the ground slowly until it explodes

and get those shits listed above, hehe i sure am curious as to just how long tthis is going to last,
personally i've never heard of a two stroke with 14,200 miles lol

lol that's how i feel every time i start the damn thing >

with the weather changing to colder temps here in Florida
the bike is getting harder to start i suppose it would be a compression leak
from the crack in the piston lol

Cmon Adly Start !

So i do not have pictures yet due to the way i went about install,
BUT! i will attach some pics to here when i replace the entire top end!

so i just bought a 2005 adly panther 50cc two stroke scooter
no less than a month ago, 13000 miles on one top end! when i got it

i removed the stock exhaust and replaced it with a chamber pipe,
i then started the bike, the vibrations caused one of the exhaust port bolts to snap off inside the cylinder head!

so i took the top end off the bike and thankfully the piece of bolt still in the cylinder head had enough
to use needle nose pliers to twist it out WOOT! never had that kind of luck with a broken stud/bolt

SO here comes the bragging rights!

man i look at the piston to align the rings to slide the jug back on and what do i see ?!?

This piston has a HUUUGE crack that goes all the way up the side of the piston, under the rings
and continues to the middle top of the pistons head !!!!

holy balls bat man how is this scooter still running and reaching 45 mph ?!?
How the heck do i still have compression ?!?

here i am, now 14022 miles on one top end, stroking along on a cracked piston

i am 100% astonished that this bike has enough compression to start, run AND reach 45 mph on flats

Despite the poor condition of this scooters plastic's (and the fact i cannot find new plastics anymore)
the 13000 miles, of pure torture (this scooter was a Rental shop scooter in the ghetto here for 12k miles of its life)

i am Truely Happy with this scooter brand, model and build, the 1e40qmb engine it has, is not the everyday cheap version
there are a few things that led me to this assumption,

one great feature this 40qmb has, that i personally have never seen (yet) is a vent hose from the fan shroud (right side)
to the drive belt ''crank case'' area (left side) to assist in the cooling of the drive belt,

most Belt failures occur on long rides where the belt has ample time to over heat, expand and either slip off track, or brake !

i cannot wait to sink some tax return into 80% rebuilding this bike

new exhaust
new 6g rollers
new performance clutch 44mm rather than the stock 40mm
new performance 2k clutch springs
new performance 2k torque spring
new performance kevlar belt
New aluminum 70cm/70cc big bore kit with a high performance squish band head
from scrappy dog scooters
new high performance CDI and ignition coil

and of course
metal grips
new skull hand/held mirrors of ebay
L.E.D lights all around, signals, tail, head lamp

all black paint job

HOW EVER i did a google search and found a piston with nearly identical cracks
except mine follows down the side of the piston as well
i will upload for now as pure reference

nothing better than reassurance that you did the right thing

I called the rental shop witch use to own this before my seller
they NEVER installed a new cylinder or rings ect, everything except the tires and brakes are stock,
Now running at 13040 miles strong!

they had regular maintenance's done I.E

Break fluid
gear oil
brakes
tires
air filter
spark plugs

i contacted adly's customer service for parts by phone yesterday
they told me the sales peoples were out for lunch and would call me back

they did about 15 minutes later, i told the guy what i was looking for
he said he would check around and call me back -

sadly he never did, so i will give another call today,

i know fairing are extremely expensive,
all new plastics are about as much as a new scooter...

so my best option will be to take the above advise
and fix it my self, witch actually works out for the best
as i plan to repaint the entire scooter

as for it being already derestricted it was not
(i did how ever find it eventually! it is now)

i am getting about 47mph on flats with a chamber pipe
but i am seeing a concerningly slow take off 0mph - 10mph in about 20 seconds,

witch might just be average however
with my 2004 eton beamer bbk and chamber pipe installed,
i was able to get 57mph on flats (GPS'ed) and take off
was around 0mph - 10mph in about 3 secondsburn out on pavement (GPS'ed)

so maybe i am just spoiled with my last bike being good to me

it is not bogging, or even acting slugish, it is very responsive
just very slow, i expect new clutch springs and
a performance clutch assembly will solve this
the bbk should also help

Vehicles behind me HATE ME

it's funny how they go to pass me
and suddenly my scoot is doing 10-15mph above the posted limit anyway lol

So i just got done doing my first wrench session on this scooter

to witch i have unhappy

there is a air filter style hose, that goes from the fan shroud on the right side of scooter
over to the left side of the scooter and into the transmission / drivetrain (for cooling)
witch is Destroyed! needs replacing

the air filter for the carb was COMPLETELY destroyed!!!
i'm taking that foam was disintegrating into mere particals!

so i replaced the air filter

ALL body panels starting at the floorboard (witch is fine) to the tail night need replacing
and of course adly's parts site had them listed as unavailable

so i need some tips, how to switch scooter fairings,
witch style fairing i can / need to use

**** i cannot find the piece i need to derestrict for unlimited rev range ****

need help with that, on my eton beamer you removed the seat assembly and cut a small green wire coming out of the ''cdi?''

i cannot find this piece on my new scooter and am in dire need of help !

to do list:
open style air filter
big bore kit that includes exhaust pipe, carb, clutch/springs, larger jet ect
body panels/fairings
fluid flush, gas, gear oil, brake fluids
new grips
new turn signals
new head lamps

this is a total restoration job!

but it does run!

i would only be replacing the cylinder head, jug, piston, rings, cir clips, pin
(assuming it is also a 10mm pin *crossed fingers*)

with a used kit bearing 2k miles on it

as far as completely rebuilding a 2 stroke what all would i need?

new:
CDI
Air filter/housing
spark plug
Top end kit(witch i have)

what else should i toss in there to add to this scooters reliability

the seller is telling me that it starts and runs

says it could ''probably use a tune up''

as far as i know two strokes do not really get ''tune ups'' other than

an air filter change out and a new spark plug ? and add that to the 13000 miles on the meter

makes me iffy, but less so knowing i have a matching bbk in my drive way
as well as and expansion chamber style exhaust pipe!

a simple rebuild as far as i know, consists of new pistion, rings, and or jug/head

but at 13000 miles should i not replace some gear's or something ? lol

i am a scooter noob this will be my third scoot
