So my battery started craping out. I charged it. Charger started jumping, 100%, 75%, 100%, %...so I turned the charger to 50amp start. It almost started. But then the selonoid would just click, I figured it was just a dead batt. New batt installed, 9amp. Still just clicking I take the starter apart. Theirs chips of glue, broken wires, a dead mouse. All kinds of fun stuff in their. Oh and its greasey as . Well I remove the debri, and clean it up best I can at 12am in the dark. And reinstall it. Figure ill check the fuses....theirs not a fuse in the thing! I got the bike used, delivered, sight unseen, buddy paid for it whyle I was at work, but it was custom built with Kick start removed with angle grinder, duct tape covering the whole, and ziptied airbox. I like duct tape and zipties tho... Is this a normal way of doing things in scooter culture?

Thanks Alleyoop! You know how hard it is to search for Vraap? Not happening...runs smooth now.
Now I'm trying to figure out if its restrictions or what keeping me below 40MPH. I bet its the head because my old head was ported I found out. I could get it up to 40 sometimes before the swap.

Just installed Airsal 50mm bbk.
Idles great. Takes off like a scalded dog! Runs great! 0-30mph in 4 seconds!
Once I've been rideing above 35 for a few seconds and creep twards 37ish, VRAAAP, and I lose power. Have to let off the throttle for a few seconds and its back to normal. Hummin like a fat rat....
The first time it happened I thought I could smell a hot plastic smell. This could be from the fresh jug and head
Second time it sounded more like a plastic sound. Like maby the fan hitting the plastic. Could this cause power loss?
Valves are set to .004
Blew through exaust, slight back pressure, normal I belive.
The only thing I noticed when doing the bbk. The timeing mark wouldn't line up with the line but lined up with the T.
Bike is a BMS Apache (Znen)

I've had a C3 for about 5 years in NC. Moved to AR and it was stolen, 3rd week here.
I have a BMS Apache now. Changed my carb for the first time ever last week. Striped my head with the plug and a wrench too big for the job. So now I'm gona rebuild the engine. With a 50mm piston. I'm confident it will go smooth.I can build anything.
I may ask some silly questions, you don't have to tell me thee answer either just point me where to read. I can figure it out.
Thanks for all the help so far!
Will

I cannot wait to learn everything possable about what does what and why. This bbk is a huge leap in my mechanical understanding. Victory scooter parts said " if you have never done it, you should find someone who does and pay them to do it" because I asked the same question I did here. I said thanks for the tip and hung up. That's no way to sell anything. I would of atleast bought an air filter if he hadent been a....(ill refrain)...and just talked to me for 2min.

When I installed one of these kits the alignment dowels would not stay in the cylinder. I bent them a little to stay stuck in the head. All four stud holes are drilled large all the way through cylinder. Was it the Airsal kit?
