Did you let it run for about an hour before trying to ride it? Hope you did. Me personally...id break it back down, observe, and doubble check everything.
From what I understand, if your ring gaps aren't 180 degrees opposite from each other, gaps over the oil holes. Things can happen. Or it could be something totally diffrent, and ill learn something this thread. Because..."Things be happnin"

That is NOT BAD Jersey, that happens as well but his case is it only happens at high rpms when his Diaphgram needle is all the way. Alleyoop Alley..... thanks for putting that into perspective! Would dropping the needle down past factory have any advantages? I'm noob, I just changed my 1st carb 2months ago, but I did rebuild my engien to 81:3cc ;D

Ya I did raise the needel a whyle bac, it was wide open, but I went up a notch, and I can go up one more to set it back to factory. I had a fealing that could be it, ill drop it tomoro.
Is their a petcock made that has a high flow rate? I ride too much for a manual. The petcock I have now won't dump enough fuel at wot, bc of the lack of vacume at wot.

So when I'm WOT, for a few miles my carb floods and pours gas out the filter. Now I only open the manual 20% and it seems to help..
My thoughts are that the jet may be too small and not eporting the gas as fast as it should.
I would like to put a good petcock bak on it. But think I need a 125-150 petcock to keep t from vrapping.
Tha manual I have on now is for a lawnmower :/ could it be allowing too much gas flow?

Leo, so when you bent the straps and put them on, you couldn't use a a socket wrench could you? The headder is in the way. I guess you probably used a crows foot or the like?

For $ I got over it pretty quick tho. If I could figure out what these style pipes are called I could figure out a brand new price, but I'm cool with it still. I kno I've only found one 2t pipe like this for $100 and that's without shipping.
