From what I've read here, the OP purchased this belt www.ebay.com/itm/300889885947/ , which is apparently fake. Dealer is in California. I realize that China has no copyright laws so everything is fair game. But how does a dealer in the US get away with openly selling fake products? It would be like me importing counterfeit dvd's, clothes, shoes, handbags etc from China and selling them here. The authorities would be all over me in a heartbeat.

I keep a Battery Tender Jr hooked up all the time when not riding, both summer and winter (which has been brutal this year). The trike is kept in an attached non-heated garage for what it's worth. Never have had a battery problem, plenty of cranking power even with the temps ungodly cold, and only starting the trike once a week to keep the juices flowing. I'm a firm believer in keeping the battery charged independently & not relying on the somewhat questionable charging capacity of the onboard system. But that's just me, your mileage may vary.

Good Lord, you replace the motor at under 10 miles?

Gotsa question. Are there any front-end adjustments necessary (other than headlights) to compensate for the rake from larger diameter rear tires? Handling affected at all?

I think you mean the speedo reads faster, not slower. This is typical of basically all 2-wheeled vehicles for some reason, and has been stated, hard to overcome. You just learn to live with it.

I have one (purchased last July). It's a fun little trike, people are constantly asking me about it. If you are the shy type this is not for you. Be aware that, as with all Chinese scoots, it will not be perfect when you get it. Even if you pay for PDI. There will be (mostly minor) adjustments & repairs to be done. If you feel comfortable tinkering with mechanical things, you can handle these yourself. It's imperative that you buy from a reputable dealer as he/she will be your "representative" to the factory (in this case Ice Bear) regarding any warranty claims. Personally, I highly recommend Jim from Rapid Repair. He was superb in helping me resolve any issues I had with the Viking. Riding the trike takes a little getting used to, but once you feel comfortable on it, it's a hoot. Top speed on the Viking 150 is around an actual 50mph at 6800rpm with a normal sized rider. It launches briskly and steadily pulls to 45 or so, then takes an extra few seconds to eke out top-end. Note that I made a few bolt-on modifications to mine when new (see sig) so don't know if a stock one performs the same way. I don't check mpg but would guess I'm getting 55-60 with mostly city riding. Hope this helps! Tom

If you used a credit card, file a dispute with the card issuer. You may not win (it's a he said-she said scenario) but it will be a pain in the arse for the company to respond. At least you will get that satisfaction. Tom

Did you go with the refundable or non-refundable deposit?
Personally, I think those things are slick as snot. I really like the fact that they are made in the USA. Hope they sell a ton of 'em. My driving/riding is solo 99% of the time, so this vehicle could replace both my car & trike. Tempting, very tempting.

For what it's worth, a 30mm performance carb (I got mine from ScrappyDog) plays well with a basically stock GY6 150. In your case, with all the mods, I can't imagine it not improving performance. But I be's no mickanick.

Caveat Emptor. You'd have a better chance of actually receiving an online unicorn order.

I was confused too with the differing break-in opinions. Decided to go with this: www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htmRan it hard from the get-go & changed the oil at 50 miles (lotsa little shavings were on the filter screen). Changing the oil again this weekend at 150 miles. So far, so good. No oil loss, compression test shows 180, & it runs extremely strong. The first 50 miles were before any mods were done (see sig), if that matters. In my case anyway, it seems that the hard break-in works.

It's just a theft deterrent. Better than nothing I guess.
