Fear is a good thing to a point, it sharpens your situational awareness, But for the moment it's ruling you. And that's to be expected so soon after a mishap. It's quite normal. I agree with the others here, take some time off, when you do ride go in small steps, on roads you know well and have confidence in driving. It takes time to recover, no book here as to how much time, every one is different.
As for bikers driving without a care, I don't think so. They have already been were you are now, and have learned to master their fear, and use it to keep them safe... Take your time, be in no hurry, and allow your love for it to overcome your fear, then use your fear instead of it using you.

I guess I'm just getting spring fever, I sure miss riding, and I'm getting impatient.. that engine scrappy sells is a long case and is actually better suited for the stroker than my original engine (Short Case) as I can get a bigger rear tire on it.
My overall plan is to buy this engine, put my hp parts on it, then rebuild my original engine to the same as the new one now.. Then I will take the scrappy engine and rebuild it using the stroker,, Glen has requested I take pics and videos of the rebuild, but it's hard to take the time and do a good job of documenting the rebuild when your in a hurry to be riding, and needing Fawkes to get back and forth to work.... So If I do it this way I can take my time and document it well....

Well the head gasket i have measures only .025 mm I don't believe they make a thinner one, and if they did I'm not sure it would hold up to the normal compression. If your looking for a little bump in power, I would look at changing the weights in your variator..

I'm not sure, I know that 180 is good, Ive seen on the forums many with 150 and still running.. Why I'm asking is that if your compression is low, a top end rebuild would be better choice.
I know when I do a rebuild my target compression reading is 180...

Ok Here's the Plan I just bought this engine from scrappy.. GY6-100 complete engine, 50mm Ill take my Big Bore head, HP cam, performance exhaust, short shaft and gears from Fawkes and put them on this. Then Ill rebuild Fawkes old engine with a new stroker crankshaft.

Ouch! That sucks. What a beast in his prime. What are your plans for the rebuild? Same setup or going to try something different? Not sure quite yet, this really was my fault not the strokers, I knew better than to use that thin oil.. I needed to get to work, and fawkes was parked outside in the winter, This is my fault... I think for now Ill buy a scrappy engine, to get going again. then spend the summer rebuilding this one, And this time taking my time to do it right. Don't worry the Beast will be back

OK the verdict is in and it's not good.. Fawkes sustained more damage from that thin oil i used than I first thought. I'm afraid the stroker crank sustained damage, so Fawkes is way worse than i suspected. A top end rebuild is not going to be enough it's going to be a total rebuild.

Oh yeah. Honey West w/ Ann Francis, spandi, at first I thought you'd typed Honey Boo-Boo. I was going to weep for you. Not that I know who Honey West is, so maybe she's not a lot better.... ;D larry, I forgot about Black Sheep. Pappy Boyington. Oh man I had a crush on him. Neat old plane, cute, neat plane.... And Stingray. I watched that one evenings in the dorm. One time this other gal was going on about the body and sleek and good looking, and I was agreeing with everything. And then I mentioned something about the interior. Turns out she was talking about the man while I was all about the Corvette! >'Kat Hi Kat, Yea I was a Robert Conrad fan too, As a 6th grade class project we had to write someone famous, I chose Robert Conrad, got back a 8"X10" Photo of the entire cast, signed by all, infront of one of the corsair's every one in there flight jackets from the show. God I wish I still had it.. Little brothers when mad can really tear things up... arrrrg In the case of The Black Sheep Squadron, it was the planes.. I love the F4U Corsair, still do. It's a shame that time is robbing us of those old warbirds.. The last time I heard, a few years ago, there were only 6 left in the world still flying... I would give almost anything to fly one myself.. I'm still love that plane..

Just bought my Taotao 50 t3. The battery it comes with is extremely small and almost feels disposable. I have a new in box 12v 6A battery that I bought for my Kymco 150. Larger and more solid although my scooter is starting fine with the small one. Can I switch out and put the larger Batterymart battery in? There is room for it to fit. Will I somehow blow up something or do I risk damaging my scoot? Hi ecupirate12000 You should be fine using the bigger battery, I had two batteries wired in parallel in my scoot as Fawkes was so hard to start... Never caused me any problems.. And the batteries I used were hudge in amps..

looks like you where running lean to get the piston hot enough for the compression to reshape the piston I did have heat issues in the beginning using the hoca hp cooling fan. Switched back to a stock after noticing the different direction the blades pulled air. Then the heating problems stopped.

I'm guessing when i made my own custom variator to handle the power, I'm guessing more of the stresses and pressures were transferred to the piston, because the variator and belt didn't break... Just a guess but there's really no sign of anything hitting that piston..
Every thing else looks pretty normal...
