Hi Prota, I'm not sure how your jumping it. Just don't do it with a running automobile.. That will fry your system... Restrictions ? "Most" newer scoots really aren't restricted anymore... I would take a sharpie and mark a line going up the face of the variator, see how far up the variator the belt is traveling... if not all the way then try heaver weights..

Maybe there's Scooter riders on here in that area and don't know about it. They hace recently advertised on Craigslist. I'm a loner that stays to himself. Ahhhh well a call to john is long over due... Great bunch had a lot of fun riding with them, we drove to Poe, Decatur, Ohio, and all over the place..... I know John does sell scooters, He sometimes advertizes on CL... If the ad you saw was for the club itself, well it has warmed up, they are probably looking for more people to ride with..

Ok just curious what brings up Fort Wayne Scooter Club... Last I heard they still meet for bfast, but I don't think they are very active anymore.... But I can call John and see whats up if you like... The FB page is out of date, I'm the one that created it, and I maintain it when I get something from them to put up..

Hi Prodigit, Check all connections for being loose.. Take an Omms reading from the engine to the frame, see if the engine is getting ground, if so then disconnect the ground wire from the CDI, then see if you have spark... If so you have a connection grounding out the system.. Probably your emergency shutoff or something in the ignition system.
If those are all good then take an ohmms reading of your pickup coil make sure it's good.. If all that is good try a different cdi...

Thanks Dave, Should I set Volt Meter on AC? Hi Dave Should be DC. AC is used only for your front headlights, and your spark..

Exactly nothing else will keep me off 2 wheels. Anyone who thinks seatbelts on bikes is safe needs a physics lesson Agreed, it should almost be illegal to allow non riders to make laws for Bike / Scooter riders..

Hi ScooterDave, The Inaccuracy of Chinese speedometer have been the subject of many discussions on other forums, Including the old scootdawg. Yes they can be quite inaccurate. My suggestion is if you have a smart phone, there are gps apps that can be downloaded, you can use that to confirm the speed your traveling... It's not exact but other than marking out a mile, and timing the run, or driving besides a car with an accurate speedometer it will get you close to your true speed.. Good Luck

The warning I get normally is I notice my top end speed dropping a bit, either meaning a belt wearing down or my sliders needing replaced, ( Fawkes when he was a Stroker was pretty hard on belts ) Normally the speed difference is only 2 or 3 mph, so it's a very minor drop.
I also need to say this is with good quality belt, such as Gates or Bando, cheaper belts will give no warning at all....
