Just bought my Taotao 50 t3. The battery it comes with is extremely small and almost feels disposable. I have a new in box 12v 6A battery that I bought for my Kymco 150. Larger and more solid although my scooter is starting fine with the small one. Can I switch out and put the larger Batterymart battery in? There is room for it to fit. Will I somehow blow up something or do I risk damaging my scoot?

If it is 12v 6amp and fits in the box...you can use it. When I sold Scoots some came with a 3 amp....4 amp...5 amp and some with 7 amp. I guess whatever they had on hand at the time?....

Hi ecupirate12000 You should be fine using the bigger battery, I had two batteries wired in parallel in my scoot as Fawkes was so hard to start... Never caused me any problems.. And the batteries I used were hudge in amps..
