Its a sad day for monster movie fans. Haruo Nakajima, the first to wear the Godzilla suit in a motion picture, has died at  years old. Nakajima brought the big lizard to life from 1954 to 1972. He showed his versatility by playing the part of Mothra in 1961. If I were president, I would order flags flown at half mast tomorrow. Rest well, Mr. Nakajima. |

I saw Hidden Figures. It was a fact based story that was well told. Even with the advent of main frame computers, the pressure on the NASA mathematicians was enormous.

I am a kayaker, but I vote for the canoe. It carries a lot more. Outrigger canoes, like they used on Hawaii Five-0 are even more macho.

I love wearing my full face helmet on a crisp winter morning. In the summer, in the Houston area; fo'get about it. Too hot/humid for a full face helm. You will be blinded by your own sweat.
