Hello from Navarre/ Navarre Beach FL.
I've been an off and on again motorcycle rider since the late 80's. I just bought my first scooter back in April. It's a 2009 Linhai Aeolus 260 Classic that I bought used with 2,300 miles on it.
It has tested my mechanical abilities in just the way I like, and it is a joy to ride. I like riding it just as much as riding my Ninja or any of the other bikes I've had. Since April my nephew and I have added 4,300 miles to it.
It is both challenging and easy to work on. For instance I had to adapt new brake master cylinders to it, find brake pads(that was a challenge in itself), put a new tire on it, replace the clutch, variator, belt, adjust roller weights, and a few other little things.
I got a lot of help from reading a bit on the Scootdawg forums and this one, and I thought it might be good to register and maybe give back to those who helped me.

Welcome to the forum Mike, I'm sure you've had to do at least 1 valve adjust too.

Thanks All, Milton hasn't changed all that much and I moved back from Chattanooga about 3 years ago, and my parents lived in Homestead in the 's. Small world I guess. I did do the valve adjustment at ~6,000 miles. They were barely out of spec by ~ .001.

I envied guys that lived on the Blackwater River. Paddling the Blackwater was very relaxing.
