Hey folks! It has been a long while since I've stopped by. This past week I bought a Honda Reflex for the paltry some of $75. It needs a whole new body, rear brake caliper, and much TLC. The engine is good with around 13,000 miles. The bad part is that there is no title. I may jump thru hoops and try to get a title or I may just part it out for a good profit. I'll post pics later.

Bump: Here is your chance to get an almost new Yamaha with less than 400 miles on the odometer for less than a comparable Chinese scooter.

When I bought my Helix, it would pop on deceleration. I adjusted the valves and it went away.

I need help with the wiring to my four pin regulator. Of the diagrams I have, the pins are not in the same position. Therefore I cannot get valid results when testing. How can I tell what pin on the regulator goes where? The scooter is a Peace Sports 50cc.

How about a design that mimics a turbine, not a squirrel cage? The fins would be canted drawing air straight in. Couple that with a scoop and a heat shield.

[replyingto=scootnwinn]scootnwinn[/replyingto]I am on the lookout for a Hondamatic (CB400A, CM400A, CM450A, or CB750A). I'd like a maxiscoot, but those are a bit out of my range. My daily ride is a 1987 Honda Helix.

Granted I am not in the market for a scooter currently so my input doesn't really matter, but whenever I make big purchases I am always willing to pay a little more to buy quality and from a trustworthy source. I know that the internet can allow for quicker and less proper communication, but I steer clear of people who have trouble using grammar, spelling correctly (built-in spell check), and don't really answer the question you are looking for. Just my 2 cents on this thread. I understand what you are saying but have you ever thought that maybe English isn't his first language? The internet doesn't belong only to America. If Icebear is the only company manufacturing these trikes, the private label badge isn't going to turn me off. Is there a true, original, Chinese bike?

megamotormadness: I like your 150cc Viking trike and I see your site offers Senior discounts. My Dad as shown some interest in a trike. Does that discount apply to the Summer Sale Price?

I adjusted the idle and mix this evening. It is running much better now, but I didn't have a chance to take a test ride.

Cleaned the carb just now. It was pretty clean to start with. The fuel filter is a tiny net/bag thing in the fuel inlet. Cleaned it too. I plan on replacing that with a regular inline fuel filter. Acceleration on the center stand is still not stellar. I will adjust the idle on the fuel mix next.

Hello all,
I just picked up a slightly used Yamaha Vino 2-stroke. It is in great shape, but notice that 0-20 mph acceleration is very slow. The scooter has been sitting a long time with only 384 miles on the odometer. I cleaned the gummed up air filter and changed the dirty, oily spark plug, but it is still not running right. What's next?
