I am wondering if anybody has tried to make their own parts with carbon fiber. I was washing and waxing my little trike and noticed a small crack in the rear fender. It starts in the center and is going lengthwise toward the front and is about 1/2 inch long already. I have been doing a lot of research this week on how to make parts with carbon fiber and found it is labor intensive not to mention expensive. I have done some fiber glass work before and it is not that much different. I did find some carbon fiber/Kevlar fabric that is red and black that I really like. the fabric is about $60 dollars a yard. Then there is the cost of making the mold, the epoxy and some other consumables that go into making carbon fiber parts. I plan on using the vacuum bagging method. I will do some smaller projects to get familiar with the process as this stuff is expensive and time consuming. I don't want to spend a lot of time and money and get bad results on the larger projects.

I always have tools and some spare parts, not always the right ones to help though. I can only carry so many. I would not leave a fellow rider stranded if I could help . I have stopped and helped several people in my days, and the kindness has been repaid when I needed help.

There is several sites you can download Quest for tires for free to play on your newer pc. To play BC Quest for Tires: (You need a joystick) 1) Download the game, put BC.IMG file on c: drive 2) Download DosBox and install 3) Open DosBox.config and change following lines: 3a) machine=vga into machine=cga 3b) cycles=3000 into cycles=500 3c) At the end of file add the following lines : mount c c: (or specify the path to directory where BC.IMG is located) c: boot c:\BC.IMG Start DosBox and game will open! select c (for composite tv) and enjoy! If this don't work try a search for the proper instructions. I haven't tried it yet and may have copied the last line wrong. It was late and I was getting tired. Roy

Put scooter up on center stand on a level surface. When checking oil level in a qmb139 engine, do not screw the dipstick in just push it in. The oil level should be at half way up the marks on the dipstick.

You are welcome. If you think that one is a pain to get the seat bucket out you should try it on a 2010 magnum. Glad I could help. Roy

Ok I some trouble getting these photo's. My desk top computers got fried with a voltage spike. so I'm on a laptop. the problem was the cannon camera I have doesn't have drivers compatible with vista. So I went a different rout. I tried using my new sony action cam. But anyway her is a couple of photo' of the magnum ignition. The hole to the right is a security feature you use the end of the key with two tabs. When you insert the key and turn, a plate covers the ignition key slot. The second photo shows the back of the lock and I have pointed out the seat latch cable. You can't see the adjustment but it is at the end of the bent metal tube about 3 inches down. Roy

Is the seat release in the ignition lock? If it is it is probably like the one in the magnum. If it is in the ignition you just need to turn the key to the left, do not push in while turning. If the seat latch lock is also the ignition switch the adjustment should be at the lock and probably not real easy to get to. The Ice Bear site don't have a parts diagram for that model up yet so I couldn't see what it is like.

You can tune a piano but you can't tune a fish. (or a scooter) Seriously, there is nothing to be ashamed of. All of us had to learn some time or another. Back when I was a kid working on small engines We didn't have forums. So I learned most of what I know by hanging around the lawn mower shop and asking a lot questions. I also spent a lot of time at the library. There are many posts on the knowledge you seek. The search button is a wonderful thing, but if you can't find what you are looking for feel free to ask. Roy

If yours is like mine the cable does not have an adjustment. The cable is only 6-8 inches long. Does it help if you push down on the seat while turning the key? Have you tried to lock it and unlock it with the seat up? remove the seat bucket so you can see the latch. then using a screwdriver trip the spring loaded latch to the locked position then try to unlock it. This will give you a better idea of why it doesn't work. I had to bend the fork where the cable hooks int just a little bit. You may also be able to loosen the latch bolts.and slide it a little bit to tighten the cable.

I looked at those lights you add to a helmet, but decided it would add weight and disrupt the air flow of the helmet design. I did purchase a Gmax GM54 that has the light already in it. I haven't purchased the brake light module yet but will. I really like this helmet.

The laptop I am using right now I purchased from a lady I work with. It was about 6 months old when her 3 year old daughter got mad and stomped on it. The screen was cracked real bad. She tried to get best buy to repair it under warranty, They wouldn't do it because of user abuse. So she just bought a new one because the repair cost was to high. So I Purchased it for $100 and replaced the screen for $98. I now have an awesome toshiba laptop for the cheap. ;D I also have a gateway I am replacing the motherboard in. I also prefer Asus products and have two Asus laptops one of them I purchased in ''98", that is the one I use to tune my E.F.I. system as it has a serial port, newer laptops don't have serial ports anymore. I'm going to try a couple of strips of thin foam. That should stop the rattling.
