Even if you have never owned an older computer like a Timex Sinclair (x80,81),Texas Interments (TI99 ((3 or 4)) -- or Commodore 64 .E.T, VIC 20 or C-128) you might like this old VHS users video that didn't come shipped with the C-64 (i know i have my C-64 in the box should have shipped with every C-64). Keep in mind this Video starts out with the basics (no pun intended) and at about 35 min's we start into programming. [It's a bit (pun intended) over 2 Hours worth of info] Enjoy.

I used to be a big fan of the Commodore Amiga computers. I had a 500, 2000 and a 3000 version. I had put in better graphics boards and CPU upgrades too. They made the best FAX and phone answering board ever at the time for the Amiga 2000 or 3000 too.

I grew up on C64/128. Everyone else had a Nintendo. The sound chip in that thing is awesome. A few shoeboxes full of disks kept me very busy. What a fun computer-- even helped my dad program a few games. Castle Wolfenstein was my fave.

I still have have a vic 20, a 64 and a 128, and data cassette, floppy disk drive and a dot matrix printer. I also have a color printer for them. They all still work. I get the 128 out every once in a while to play one of my favorite games, Test Drive.

I saw they that had some emulators so one can run the old games on their Windows PC's using a emulated Amiga Dos of some sort or for the other old Commordore Vic 20 or 64 PC's of that era too. You could try one of those out if you want.

There is several sites you can download Quest for tires for free to play on your newer pc. To play BC Quest for Tires: (You need a joystick) 1) Download the game, put BC.IMG file on c: drive 2) Download DosBox and install 3) Open DosBox.config and change following lines: 3a) machine=vga into machine=cga 3b) cycles=3000 into cycles=500 3c) At the end of file add the following lines : mount c c: (or specify the path to directory where BC.IMG is located) c: boot c:\BC.IMG Start DosBox and game will open! select c (for composite tv) and enjoy! If this don't work try a search for the proper instructions. I haven't tried it yet and may have copied the last line wrong. It was late and I was getting tired. Roy
