I don't lock tight them, and have never had one come loose. A 150 intake will not help much if the intake port on the head is not enlarged to match, but yes it will fit.

Just the four rocker arm nuts. I just snug the two on the side, I'm not sure about the specs. my manual doesn't even show those.

I was going to make one out of brass tube with flat ends soldered. I would also buy a few, if you sell them.

They should be torqued to 15 ft lbs. If you torque them to 24ft lbs and you might break something. I snapped off the corner of a rocker arm assembly when I accidentally set the torque wrench to 25 ft lbs Roy

I did some more test fitting. This time I used a 47mm piston and no base gasket. At top dead center the piston sticks out of the cylinder by .50mm. I will test fit a 50mm piston next. I do believe with a single base gasket the piston will not travel out of the cylinder. Note: The 39mm piston I have has a fairly high domed top. The 47mm piston has a concave top and the 50mm is slightly domed.

I got a little time to tear the new engine down and started to install a hoca 44 mm stroker crank. I just test fit the stock 39mm piston and jug. At top dead center the piston is flush with the deck of the cylinder. I might just go with this set up for now and add the ncy 50mm bbk later. Just to see the difference. The stock crank has a 22 tooth oil pump drive gear and the oil pump has a 47 tooth driven gear. The hoca crank has a 16 tooth drive gear. Two options are available. 1) press the stock oil pump drive gear onto the hoca crank. 2) change the oil pump driven gear and oil pump. I cannot just change the 47 tooth driven gear to one with 33 teeth I must change the pump also. I knew this before hand and already have the correct driven gear and pump. Roy

This is the mathematical formula to calculate ring end gap.
Bore in millimeters/25.4 = Bore in inches: 47/25.4=1.850
Top ring: Bore in inches x .004: 1.850x.004=.007
Second ring: Bore in inches x .005: 1.850x.005=.009

Ok, I think I figured it out. The stock chain is 41 links if you count the outer links or 82 links if you count the inner and outer links.

The stock chain is 82 links. I haven't found an link chain and haven't found extra links. So a longer chain may not be possible. Roy

Does anybody know how many links are in a stock 139qmb engine timing chain?

Nice post triker I am curious though... How are you going to compensate for the extra 1.3mm @ TDC? Stack bases gaskets or a spacer? And will the cam chain length be an issue? I'm not trying to needle you ~ just curious. Lot's of pics, please! I haven't decided yet I am going to test fit it first and see exactly how much the piston comes out of the cylinder. If I use a spacer I will still need two base gaskets. I'm not sure about the chain yet, but I don't think it will be a problem. If the chain is to short I will mill off the top of the piston. I need to measure how thick the top of the piston is. I don't want to make it to thin. Or I may try to find a longer chain. But even one link may make it to long. Roy

Well If all goes well tomorrow and I get my to do list done I will start on this project. I will have to use a different carb than the keihin I ordered. The site I ordered from(MX Motorsports) pulled the ol switcharoo and sent me a cheap knock off. Also I ordered copper exhaust gasket rings and they sent regular gasket rings. I'm not going to go into details of the phone call I made to them but I will not recommend them to anybody. So I will be looking for another place to get a Keihin 20mm carb. Any body got a good lead? In the mean time I have a 19mm carb and a 23mm carb but If I use the 23mm carb I will have to replace the throttle cable or modify the cable mount.
