The 9BS batteries cost $47 with tax in my area. I keep a battery for 1 year, buy a new one and give the old one to the first scooter rider I see who's going nuts trying to work the kickstart. I just don't think they have longevity.

I have a front disc brake problem too. My problem is that I don't know which brake pads fit my Longbo Voyager 150cc scooter. It's a flagship chassis with 12" wheels. The back brakes are fine, but I need the control of a good set of front brakes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I get about 65 mpg on a 2008 Longbo 150cc. Top speed is 58 mph, so it's just fine on most roads in my area. I don't know about the "comfort" concerns though, as my undercarriage goes numb on any ride longer than ten miles or so. (Maybe with a gel cushion or some memory foam, it could be more comfortable.)

I find that the light usually changes for me if I get my engine directly over a sensor wire and rev my engine several times.

Been running Ubuntu since 2007. Currently using 12.04LTS with the Gnome Classic desktop, because Unity is terrible. The fun part of Linux is getting the extras to work. Things like getting old DOS and Windows games to run feel like small victories. I'm even running Netflix desktop (which isn't even supposed to work on Linux), and it runs smooth.

downloadhelper.net
The video downloader extension for Firefox has a 'download and convert' option for videos which lets you choose .mp3 as an option. It converts on my computer at about 1 MB/sec, so most songs convert in under 10 seconds, albums in about a minute or two. For high quality audio, always download and convert the 1080p video. Download takes longer, but your ears will thank you.

I use pic.chronictel.net for image hosting with another forum. Not sure if it would work here though.

Insurance isn't required in Florida, but the financial responsibility bit means that I choose to pay $82 a year for insurance on my 150. I keep myself in a state of near insolvency at all times, so that I can be collection proof, but I still buy the insurance to eliminate the hassle of legal action.
As far as the original post goes, I'm shocked that insurance in Canada costs so much. Higher costs usually mean a more costly risk pool, so I wonder if Canada has different vehicle insurance laws that prevent insurance companies from denying as many claims as they do here in the USA...

Mine is a 150cc longbo voyager with 12" wheels, and my roadside radar verified speed is 58 mph. GPS says 58.2 mph.
