Wow man that is some hoops you had to go through.
I was surprised a little 3 arm 2 ton gear puller got my gears pressed off and on, with the help of my impact wrench to go faster.
And it was like 32 dollars to rent.
But at least you got them in and you have good results!

I found a buyer off craigslist who needed a 150cc scooter body and wheels and had a good engine to swap on. I felt good to sell it and have someone else have it to enjoy and cash in my pocket. Though I do miss that scooter sitting there in the backyard, even more so riding it. I'm a Car Stuff podcast listener on howstuffworks.com and on their first motorcycle buying episodes they mentioned this website. Its pretty cool you can put in your height and see what it would be like to sit on a bike and with your feet down on the ground. Funny part was putting in 4 foot height and it just says "too short to touch pegs" LOL cycle-ergo.com/

I listen to Car Stuff podcast on howstuffworks.com in their 2 part episode they mention this website. cycle-ergo.com/Its pretty cool, I have been looking up motorcycles and scooters to see how they might fit me. Good thing with scooters is most are about the same just more leg room on bigger ones.

I love the sym, but at $3k it's not really worth it; Besides all that chrome is actually steel, and going to rust in a few weeks! I like that it's a manual geared 150! Great on gas, has a rear sprocket that you can change (because like usual, these bikes are always tuned too low in gears), and it's got a tach, something my bike doesn't have. But I don't think it's worth the 3k price! For that reason I bought this one: www.superiorpowersports.com/127cc_motorcycle_p/rk127mc-05.htmAt just over $1k shipping incl. it's a steal! I atually bought it a bit cheaper than what it is online right now! It has it's problems, but nothing you can't work around! Stock, it's a great replacement for a 50cc scooter; but it's not going much faster than a tuned 50cc 4 stroke. With a sprocket change, I will be able to get more out of it! I've looked at that one before, looks like a wasp.

Yeah if I was going for more horsepower a 2 cylinder engine bike would be the way to go.
I like 1 cylinder to worry about and a little better gas mileage.
Just going off the theory of 2 cylinders in an engine VS 1 cylinder.
The more cylinders = more parts , more power, more fuel burned or less mpgs, better looking.
VS single cylinder = less parts, better mileage, less power, simple
2 cylinders is cool looking though I'd choose a single cylinder bike.

Another way you can press the gears if want to save a little money and DIY:
What I did was "rent" a 3 way 2 ton (I believe it wasn't that large) gear puller from autozone/advance for about $30 to use and take it back for your money back.
Use the gear puller to take off the old and to put on the new gear
Use an impact wrench is a lot easier to press off/on. Or a socket wrench works too, just is a pain.
When you are done you can test ride it (after putting back together and filling the gear oil).
If you like the new change, take the gear puller back to the store and get your money back!
Though that harbor freight press is a better option if you want to spend the money. I'd say its worth it to buy that 1/2 ton press anyway, its sure to have many more uses.

As far as looks, its pretty much the same.
Its a 2 cylinder so it should have more horsepower than a single cylinder 250cc.
It has a 27" seat height. So I'm sticking with the Suzuki.

Yeah the Chicago Electric impact wrench from harbor Freight does the job well.
They have sales on it a lot and prices range from 40-60 bucks.
You can hold in one hand and tighten OR reverse with just your finger squeeze in the same hand.
It is a little workout to hold for extended periods but I like that, it feels sturdy like its going to last for being so cheap.

That's a of a deal. If I had the money right now I'd rent a truck and drive up there.

I contacted Pulstar last fall requesting a spark plug that matches a NGK Irridium for 150cc china scooter. They said they don't currently make them.
But I got them for my 2005 Nissan sentra, they were $12 each and it wasn't worth it.
I got better gas mileage, went from hitting 39mpg-40mpg (hypermiling ) to 42mpg max (normal driving 32-35mpg to 36mpg Pulstar) when I reset the mileage counter. When I measured economy mpg starting with a full tank, noting the miles and filling up 3/4 of a tank later I had really maybe 2-4mpg better.
Then one day I had a check engine light went off, it was a cylinder misfire or something like that,(my engine started up rough) and I took the 20 min and put my NGK irridiums back in my car ( wire wheeled and checked gap) . I haven't had any problems.
Watching the video is amazing but in actual life its not much better. It started up easier though. My car I have to turn the key let it turn once sometimes then turn the key again to start. With pulstars it started up the first time
