Stock gears but with 130/60/13s as I think you have 12s . Did you use 5g before and after ? What was the RPMs at 50 MPH with both gear sets ? Mine has always been midrange and top end as I have the larger JOG variator with 21mm nut but 10mm wristpins . I bought another MODCycles 47mm BBK as my dealer had one in stock . I have what I thought was their pipe but paperwork said it was from www.pmtunning.co.uk and is unrestricted with less back pressure and takeoff , loud as lumberjacks chainsaw but hits 10,500 where with stock pipe and 49cc it maxed at 8k on my tach . 8gs is too heavy as I push off with my feet when starting up a slope from a standstill but once rolling it zooms but not as peppy at midrange as with 5g rollers which I could pop a wheelie at 50 MPH with a lil tugging back . What sux is I can redline on level road and even some hills with a long running start with most steep hills still hitting 9k . So its like it is under driven but I cringe at the thought of a 400 dollar Malossi over drive CVT kit . I too want to cruise at 50 MPH without it screaming and guzzling gas . I did use a 120 MJ but went to a 105 and I want to put the airbox back on since the Uni is louder and no good to have in the rain , and may have to bend the stock pipe to reuse it as my new pipe would not line up when it was 49cc but fir like a glove with the BBK I also put on a 788 Bando since the Gates has 4k miles on it and still looks almost new to be safe but darn it Bandos have a vibration between midrange and top end on both of my scooters . unsure if Kevlar or Armarid fiber but I will be going back to a Gates for my 2T and CFMoto belt ( sux it costs more but was smooth ) . A buddies 2T Honda Elie can holeshot me for a short distance , plus I am 60 lbs heavier , but no comp from 25 and up . I can do 45 MPH up most hills with a running start and 40 when it was stock as I have passed cars up hill in the city . Too bad scooters do not have a 2 speed transfer case like my buddies Polaris ATVs do . Would be great to switch from redlight racer to highway cruiser The modcycles BBK is no joke. Look at the massive transfer ports...then map out your port timing. That thing was designed for some serious power! It is Taiwanese made and as you noticed I am sure..the head is not dished like most 2T engines...it super flat with only a tiny divot where the spark plug goes. So squish band is near zero and ya gotta add 1-2 extra base gaskets or like the one I installed for a guy...we got detonation. Except for when we burned a tank of my home brew NASCAR gas with Xylene in it. Not only does the xylene raise the octane...it has a higher BTU which seems to really kick in the power. Smells good when it burns too...like Kyle Petty's exhaust.. ;D Airport nearby sells AVgas but only 20 gallons or more...otherwise he won't pump it. Local Race Track sells TORCO 108...1 gallon or 100..they don't care..they will sell it...but octane wise that is overkill and at well over 8 bux a gallon..ouch. I have always used 5 gram weights... did try 6 that I borrowed from a friend..but he wanted them back even though they were rollers and I prefer sliders...plus they were flat sided and worn quite a bit. To answer your question...with stock 13.5:1 'Tractor Gears' I top out at 55-56mph....BUT when I cruise at 50 I am right at 10,000 rpm...and like you said...it really sucks gas screaming like that. I run a # jet in mine..so wow...your #105 seems huge. As for the 2 speed transfer case....remember the mid 70's up to about 1980 Suzuki 100-250 Enduros had that...a high and low range. That was awesome...worked well and was really useful. So why don't they still make them like that?.. The only good thing about my stock gears is nobody can 'hole shot' this lil 72cc 2T...not even the 150's. I get whiplash inducing take offs...0-50 in less than 75 yards..but after that the 150's blow by me. But stop light to stop light...they just jaw drop as I am always waiting for them at the next light..

Call me as I need taller gears . Even with 8 grams I can hit 9k up a steep hill with a rolling start Kevin...lost your number. Actually it's buried somewhere in my pm's...so bear with me as I get a shovel and dig through them...you may need to resend it. 8 grams at 9k? Holy smokes I need my grams to turn that high. What BBK you running? MHR?...AirSal aluminum single ring?... That is some serious power you are putting out. Wanna just swap engines with me instead? ;D You must be running the stock 13.5:1 gears I take it. Mine are 13.5:1 stock...tractor gears I call them. Way too low for a 145lb featherweight like me..revs too high. If I had an OTR License I could pull a trailer and haul timber from Oregon.

Why selling them ? Were they not tallenough or too tall ? How do they perform on take off , uphill and top end ? What gram weights did you use with em ? I want taller. Takeoff is just as quick as it normally does.....zip! Top end is a few mph more(5-6)...but I only run 5 gram sliders...never tried anything heavier..maybe I should since I have a BBK...but I kinda like the peppy take off I get with the 5 gram sliders. They are not too tall....I want taller so I don't rev as high while cruising at 50 mph. Also I want Helical cut vice straight cut....why?..no clue other than I am just used to Helical cut maybe...

Malossi 13/44 primary gears for long case 2T. Used less than 50 miles. Looking to gear closer to 10:1. These with the stock secondaries give 11.41:1 vice the stock 13.5:1 $55.00 shipped.[img src="[/img] "] Attachments:

Horrible! hope they get it worked out They will work it out...as the Officer who violated protocol by exceeding the speed limit with no lights or siren will be placed on Administrative Leave....WITH pay for days or so. But then both parties were at blame..so it will be a tough call. The boys have sadly already received their punishment. Just a tragic story altogether and I am sure the whole town is in shock. I dislike when any 2 vehicles collide...and the news refers to it as an ACCIDENT. My belief is that anytime a person does something wrongful...it is NOT and accident. Just my 2 cents..

Just a post to bring this up to the top for those that may have missed it....needs parts and are strapped for cash as many of us are. I know I am not well liked here..nor am I part of the 'Click' or 'In crowd'...but thought 25% off should help those looking for a good deal on performance parts. I have noticed if I start a thread I get no replies..and if I comment on a post somebody made...nobody else does after I do..or in response to my comment..and it just slips to the bottom of the pit. Ya gotta be part of the 'Click' or 'In crowd' as I said above. Therefore I just read posts lately and don't comment...cause it don't take a Rocket Scientist to see the 'Pecking order' and 'Chosen few' here.. Kinda like High School ya know?... lol...sad but true. That they do.. Unreal prices..but also some super top dollar items like 2T and 4T MHR complete BBK's at around $400.00.....eeek! Who spends that much on a Liquid Cooled Minarelli engine??? Outta my price range. But a Technigas tuned pipe for $99.00?.. had to rub my eyes twice and look at the page again. Did not even know Technigas made any 4T pipes. Too bad it's 4T..I need a 2T one...I'm sure they have a similar price one for 2T....just not looked yet as I was only given the link 30 mins ago. So back in I go!... ;D

We guitar players use a piece of 'High E' guitar string. It comes in .08 .09 .010 and .011. I keep a 6" piece in my toolbox for cleaning pilot jets. Almost any other wire is too thick to fit that tiny orifice.

Which Mikuni model is it? My Suzuki RM250 has a Mikuni..and it seems bullet and fool proof. i.e. seems no matter how I adjust it...it will run...not always the greatest...but at least runs. Once dialed in..it never needs adjustment. Just a good cleaning occasionally as no matter how well the air or fuel filter filter..it still gets crud inside of it. If I had the money right now..my Chinese 2T scoot would have one now. They are more user friendly than these.. &^%$#@( China made TK carbs.. Btw..I live at sea level if that helps any...can go check my jet sizes...but it is a 250 and not sure what displacement your motorcycle is..

There are different types of epoxy. There is epoxy that you can repair your engine block with. JB Weld should hold up under gasoline, and you can find it in stores. Check online for different epoxies, but don't get any kind that is quick set. Quick set = less strong and less adhesive. Or just solder it. Agree JB WEld should hold... as long as the fuel doesn't creep under it. I just never had any luck with it on engines. Tried it twice on 2 scooter engine blocks. It was fine until the engine heated up and then the oil seeped under it and leaked again. Area repaired must be super clean and probably scrubbed down with a solvent....which was probably my problem. So I don't mess with it...to frustrating to watch it slough off the engine block like an old scab... Also agree Quick set epoxy is less strong..less adhesive. I build RC airplanes and tried it a few times. Doesn't stick as well..and the Nitromethane/Methanol fuel soaks it..and it peeled off. Plus even without exposure to fuel..after about a year the Quick set stuff softens up and peeled of like a piece of used chewing gum. Metal floats have been soldered since their invention. That is how they are made...so I just stick with that method. Call me old fashion.. ;D

Looks good. But only problem with Flat or Matte Black scooters are that..well..that is the first thing about % of car...motorcycle and scooter thieves do...is paint them flat or matte black. Vice the typical gloss colors most vehicles come with. That is usually how they are caught as my friend a State Trooper tells me.."It is one of the criteria we use to profile criminals" So hope they don't stop ya too often. Not to be taken in the wrong context I hope...not bashing ya...just a heads up. Now..on to the important stuff...what performance parts ya got into your project?... Do tell...

DX Agree with he and those above. Most epoxy type materials are 'gas resistant' not 'gas proof'. Copper..Brass and Tin floats have been soldered since the beginning of the internal combustion engines birth. A tried and true fix..
