Malossi 13/44 primary gears for long case 2T. Used less than 50 miles. Looking to gear closer to 10:1. These with the stock secondaries give 11.41:1 vice the stock 13.5:1 $55.00 shipped.[img src="[/img] "] Attachments:

Why selling them ? Were they not tallenough or too tall ? How do they perform on take off , uphill and top end ? What gram weights did you use with em ?

Takeoff is just as quick as it normally does.....zip! Top end is a few mph more(5-6)...but I only run 5 gram sliders...never tried anything heavier..maybe I should since I have a BBK...but I kinda like the peppy take off I get with the 5 gram sliders. They are not too tall....I want taller so I don't rev as high while cruising at 50 mph. Also I want Helical cut vice straight cut....why?..no clue other than I am just used to Helical cut maybe...

Actually it's buried somewhere in my pm's...so bear with me as I get a shovel and dig through them...you may need to resend it. 8 grams at 9k? Holy smokes I need my grams to turn that high. What BBK you running? MHR?...AirSal aluminum single ring?... That is some serious power you are putting out. Wanna just swap engines with me instead? ;D You must be running the stock 13.5:1 gears I take it. Mine are 13.5:1 stock...tractor gears I call them. Way too low for a 145lb featherweight like me..revs too high. If I had an OTR License I could pull a trailer and haul timber from Oregon.

Stock gears but with 130/60/13s as I think you have 12s . Did you use 5g before and after ? What was the RPMs at 50 MPH with both gear sets ? Mine has always been midrange and top end as I have the larger JOG variator with 21mm nut but 10mm wristpins . I bought another MODCycles 47mm BBK as my dealer had one in stock . I have what I thought was their pipe but paperwork said it was from www.pmtunning.co.uk and is unrestricted with less back pressure and takeoff , loud as lumberjacks chainsaw but hits 10,500 where with stock pipe and 49cc it maxed at 8k on my tach . 8gs is too heavy as I push off with my feet when starting up a slope from a standstill but once rolling it zooms but not as peppy at midrange as with 5g rollers which I could pop a wheelie at 50 MPH with a lil tugging back . What sux is I can redline on level road and even some hills with a long running start with most steep hills still hitting 9k . So its like it is under driven but I cringe at the thought of a 400 dollar Malossi over drive CVT kit . I too want to cruise at 50 MPH without it screaming and guzzling gas . I did use a 120 MJ but went to a 105 and I want to put the airbox back on since the Uni is louder and no good to have in the rain , and may have to bend the stock pipe to reuse it as my new pipe would not line up when it was 49cc but fir like a glove with the BBK I also put on a 788 Bando since the Gates has 4k miles on it and still looks almost new to be safe but darn it Bandos have a vibration between midrange and top end on both of my scooters . unsure if Kevlar or Armarid fiber but I will be going back to a Gates for my 2T and CFMoto belt ( sux it costs more but was smooth ) . A buddies 2T Honda Elie can holeshot me for a short distance , plus I am 60 lbs heavier , but no comp from 25 and up . I can do 45 MPH up most hills with a running start and 40 when it was stock as I have passed cars up hill in the city . Too bad scooters do not have a 2 speed transfer case like my buddies Polaris ATVs do . Would be great to switch from redlight racer to highway cruiser

Do they slide in once the cover behind the clutch is removed or require a hydraulic press ? I have tinkered and wrenched since I was a pup but I have not done a gear swap before

Too bad scooters do not have a 2 speed transfer case like my buddies Polaris ATVs do . Would be great to switch from redlight racer to highway cruiser The modcycles BBK is no joke. Look at the massive transfer ports...then map out your port timing. That thing was designed for some serious power! It is Taiwanese made and as you noticed I am sure..the head is not dished like most 2T engines...it super flat with only a tiny divot where the spark plug goes. So squish band is near zero and ya gotta add 1-2 extra base gaskets or like the one I installed for a guy...we got detonation. Except for when we burned a tank of my home brew NASCAR gas with Xylene in it. Not only does the xylene raise the octane...it has a higher BTU which seems to really kick in the power. Smells good when it burns too...like Kyle Petty's exhaust.. ;D Airport nearby sells AVgas but only 20 gallons or more...otherwise he won't pump it. Local Race Track sells TORCO 108...1 gallon or 100..they don't care..they will sell it...but octane wise that is overkill and at well over 8 bux a gallon..ouch. I have always used 5 gram weights... did try 6 that I borrowed from a friend..but he wanted them back even though they were rollers and I prefer sliders...plus they were flat sided and worn quite a bit. To answer your question...with stock 13.5:1 'Tractor Gears' I top out at 55-56mph....BUT when I cruise at 50 I am right at 10,000 rpm...and like you said...it really sucks gas screaming like that. I run a # jet in mine..so wow...your #105 seems huge. As for the 2 speed transfer case....remember the mid 70's up to about 1980 Suzuki 100-250 Enduros had that...a high and low range. That was awesome...worked well and was really useful. So why don't they still make them like that?.. The only good thing about my stock gears is nobody can 'hole shot' this lil 72cc 2T...not even the 150's. I get whiplash inducing take offs...0-50 in less than 75 yards..but after that the 150's blow by me. But stop light to stop light...they just jaw drop as I am always waiting for them at the next light..

Just a quick enquiry, In your Adly what was the stock gear ratio? my gears were 12.5:1 primary 50/12 secondary 36/12 and if my calculations are correct with your gearing mine would work out 10.15:1, if this is correct Google ( Adly Her Chee ) find you scooter and it will show what tooth gear originally came with that scooter , if I am incorrect fear not to call me a Silver Fox 2T
