Just got this build done, with special thanks to Millsc for answering questions, and my brother for doing the install. All I can say is this thing is a beast! I figured I might need taller gears, so I got the 18*36 gears from scrappydogs. I'm having carb problems heres the symptoms: Taking off, it chuggs and pops with a 120 main jet. When we did the 3mm crank, it just had the 112.5 jet and it did not chugg or pop on acceleration and was fine. My carb is the cheap $30 26mm carb that so many people get off ebay. The needle cannot be adjusted, do I need to down my jet size back to 112.5 or get a 115 jet, or find a needle for my carb that can be adjustable?

Replace the seals i did in mine as a precaution We put new gaskets on the cases, I just wanted to know if it needed rtv sealant or something. Nevermind now, cause we already have it together.

Hey guys, I'm putting my case/crank all back together, will the gaskets do the job fine, or should I use a sealant? I have the sealant that we're using that gos on my spacer.

You may get 1-3mph gain at the top end, but no CDI gives much if any more. im going from my 3mm crank to a 4mm and a gear change from 15*36 to 18*36 so im guessing that will give me more top end.

I'm going to be calling John tomorrow and may order the cdi. Question for Alley, and others, What kind of differences did you notice? I read that there is no kickback, but any other difference? Also, I am still running the same oem cdi that came on the bike, should I notice a difference with the orange Casoli that John sells?

Think about selling bored out cases if someone wants to put in a bigger jug, you can bore them out to whatever size BBK they want to put in There are not to many places that will bore out a case anymore far few and in-between. Alleyoop I know. Its not a bad price for it either, $119. I'm at least going to use it and build me some spare motors.

It should work just fine it is only shaving mm's off and its aluminum and not hard steel. Alleyoop I'm getting it for future builds. Me and my brother know that these motors are easy now. Now I'm looking for some cases to buy til my bore tool gets here. I might get some off ebay.

I have it , I have not used it yet . it mounts on the bloc and you use a drill to turn it . John Would an 18v cordless Makita or Dewalt drill turn it?

I might be looking into getting the NCY bore tool. Does anyone know what operates it? A drill, or impact wrench, or drillpress?

I'm going to go ahead and replace my cdi, it is the stocker and never has went out. Cant seem to find in the search here where John talked about the cdi's that he sells that actually work and do good. I believe its the one Alley uses.

There are no guarantees on performance parts, simply due to not being installed by a professional. Also many have had troubles slapping in a 4mm stroker motors went BOOM really fast, safest is a 2mm and just put in a bigger BBK to make up the displacement a 3mm or 4mm would have given you. Alleyoop I have a feeling everything would have been fine if the chain had not of broke. You have a 6mm, is it running fine? Im only cruising to work, not racing running wot. As far as going with a bigger BBK, my local machine shop closed down. If I did bore the cases for a 62 or 63, doesn't look like there would be much left in there. Idk...Im going with the 4mm crank, with 92 chain.

Well, when my timing chain broke, while we were taking it apart splitting the cases and taking the crank out, noticed 4 teeth were broke off from where the chain jammed up down there. Since I'm going to have to get another crankshaft now, I might as well go with the 4mm, I already have 92 link chain, gaskets, spacer, etc. Going into these motors is alot easier than I thought! Thanks to Millsc helping me! Not sure what kind of warranty ScooterElements offers since Walt isn't there anymore, guess we'll have to see..... Now my new build consist of: Taida 61mm BBK 4mm Crankshaft NCY big valve head A-10 Camshaft OKO starter Taida starter gear
I'll keep everyone posted with what happens! And again, Very Special thanks to Millsc!

They sell the forged 61mm piston it may create clearance issues though I'm pretty sure I don't need that piston, had enough problems already, Lol!
