I am not familiar with the 250B, but I looked high and wide for a back wheel for my Vog260. I ended up with this, which says it will fit yours: madhouseparts.com/13-Scooter-Rear-Rim-Roketa-VOG-Xyingue-p690.htmlOne thing you must keep in mind is the disk-brake attachment holes with your current wheel. Some have 5 and some have 3 so you'll either need to get one with the same or you'll need to order the matching disc.. Also, although this wheel came from madhouse, the return address was from Scrappydog's parent company. That pissed me off because Scrappy sells a wheel with a three hole disc brake pattern (http://www.scrappydogscooters.com/LH170MN_Linhai_257___275.html) for much less. You might give them a call. Anyway, that's a start. You might also touch base with Tvnacman and his testedscooterparts website or one of the other vendors here.

Thanks for the update Walter. With so many generic parts in the marketplace it's always good to know there are guys like you and tvnacman (John) we can turn to for quality and help. Best of luck with your new venture.

I participated in a similar thread on another site. I'll take my Vog 260 on highways with a 55 mph limit because I can chug along at 60 in the right lane and no one harasses me. I just can't keep up on a road with a 65 mph limit and feel remotely safe since everyone is going 80. The biggest problem i encounter on the highway is the wind. Sometimes I get so buffeted that I'm totally white knuckle riding and just waiting for the wind to push me over. My suspension does not seem up to the task either. Wait a second... didn't you have a posting entitled "The thrill of the freeway"? It was a post IN "thrill of the freeway" saying something along the lines of I didn't know what I thought was worse - being blown down and injured in a crash, or having to tell people I was injured because the wind blew me off my scoot!

the pipe at the top is 5" and it is horizontally laid. It makes a degree turn and at some point becomes 3" for the long part of the run.

Since we have a no scooter section I'm hoping it is ok to ask this. I have a yard drain that collects water from my back yard and directs it through a buried pipe that gravity feeds under my lawn and into the street. The pipe is garden pipe (the kind that slips together like interlocking straws) and I know it is clear (just had a roto rooter done). When it rains very heavy and fast, the water does not drain and pools up. however, if I pull off the grate and stick my arm under water and use a plunger for two or three pushes it all flows fine. Can I be getting an air bubble or something? Should this be vented some how??? I never heard of a vented yard drain. thanks all.

I'd go to Harbor Freight and get an impact wrench for that before scratching your head too hard.

So I was riding the Vog, not a care in the world, and I heard a sound that got louder and louder. Turns out I dropped the headpipe somewhere never to be found again. They wanted close to $100 for the head, so I took the opportunity to get a Dragon Custom Double Shot Exhaust. It's awesome. There was no headpipe to take off because it fell off. The gasket was still in there, but it was a deformed, crushed mess. At the same time I ordered the exhaust I ordered a gasket, which was a nice copper solid one. Should last. I got the wrong size in the mail (need to be O.D. 38-39mm) but mine came as a 41mm. Rather then return it I ground it down with my dremel. Easy enough. So here is the beautiful Dragon Custom Double Shot: As you'll see, it only uses the two bottom mounts. The top bracket is not to be used, even says so in the instructions. I believe it is for the air intake which i'm not using. Note that the left bracket has blood on it. It wouldn't be a trailheadmike special without some blood. The kit comes with silencers to attach to the exhaust tips. I put them in because this thing is LOUD. Finally, here's where it attaches in case anyone cares: This kit was for a Linhai style 257cc, and when they were new on the market they went for over $350. The company is selling them on eBay now for much less, and there is a Double Shot for a 150cc also, as well as Single Shot mufflers as well. This is a very substantial unit and very well made. Here's the listing that I used: www.ebay.com/itm/DRAGON-CUSTOM-SCOOTER-PERFORMANCE-RACING-EXHAUST-PACK-250cc-260cc-300cc-/130990357877?pt=Other_Vehicle_Parts&hash=item1e7fa23d75&vxp=mtrIf you use the air intake, which is also beautiful, you'll need to upjet which I did not feel like doing. I did it for the look. Good riding to all.

Just wanted to pass on a Craigslist find from northeastern New Jersey. This guy is selling a Helix with 9,000 miles for less than $1,500. Cheapest I've ever seen and thought I'd post in case someone's interested. Hope everyone is out riding this weekend! newjersey.craigslist.org/mcy/4412142938.html

He put up a facebook post this morning that he'd be closed until further notice. I just checked now, and Walter's posted the following: "Scooter Elements is back online including the dealer page but I Walter will no longer be a part of it. Thanks to all my awesome customers and dealers. It's been great serving you guys. I hope whoever continues with Scooter Elements continues to do a great job. I created scooter elements one day while working the store front on a slow day decided to put a few parts online and sure enough the business grew. Thanks again to everyone. I will be heading back to Florida and hopefully later on to Washington State. "

You guys got me thinking. I think I've done about 170 miles at once on the 260, but I know I stopped after the first 70 and again probably 10 miles later so I'm no where near a lot of the posters here. Some of the trips listed here are amazing and a real testament to your mechanical skills. Well done.

I posted in June at 8,500 and now I'm just shy of 11,000. In all candor those are china miles - my actual mileage is 87% of odo, meaning that I'm actually at 9,440 now.

Thanks John. I sent you a message on your facebook page about the belt but you're right, it probably makes sense to open the whole thing up and and get the lay of the land.

I was mad at the policeman but just because I was frustrated. He was absolutely right. My odds were pretty high that I'd be hit hazards or not. Thanks for the suggestion about checking for debris - as I'm going through old how-to posts on the old scootdawg site that is a common theme. If the belt did shred they say the pieces go everywhere even if you don't see them. My clutch started slipping about 1k miles ago (often shuddering on takeoff) so I won't be surprised if my belt started going earlier and debris was already getting in there.
