i haven't followed the game since i was a kid. grew up just outside detroit, my uncle took me to a game during the season. i can remember Kirk Gibson hit one hard bounced off the innfield about 10-15 feet away from first base. i don't recall who we were playing but the first baseman fielded the ball and headed to the plate, Kirk was flying and nearly beat him to the plate. that was amazing to me. the guy didn't get on base but omg could he run.

as much as i hate watching accident videos (espically ones envolving a bike) they can be highly educational. between this thread and Leo's recent thread: itistheride.boards.net/thread/5861/fat-tires-feet-narrow-lanesi have been much more aware of positioning myself when coming to a stop. so thank you for the post.

i got mine off by using a 4 foot bar attached to the end of my ratchet. after using wd40 multiple times and letting it soak i still had to stand on that bar to get the nut off. i don't recommend that method but it worked. as mentioned above, buy or borrow an impact wrench and save yourself a headache.

ive found a motorcycle shop that fixes gy6's 10 mins from my house. yep, hard to find anyone to work on these china scoots. only place i know that will work on them is 10 mile ride. i'd rather fix it myself if possible to save a buck so i have only used them to buy a few parts. might use them in the future though cause i really don't like working on these scoots. rather spend my time riding.

<snip> i'm in south florida also and ended up going with the 118 jet and needle clamp at the top. everything else still stock except gates belt and fuel line. it was running gr8 a few weeks ago but now that the temps are a bit warmer i think it is running a tad rich. where in south FL? my new carb came with a 105 main jet but i changed it to a 108 before installing it coconut creek, northwest of fort lauderdale. my scoot wouldn't even run with 108 jet. maybe i have vacuum leak.

Alright thanks, I was looking on eBay and I found an even bigger valve one like 2mm bigger in each, and it's only $35 but I'm just scared that it'll defiantly cause issues because 20 and 23mm valves are huge on these engines...but it's only $35! Idk I may try it and if anything add another base gasket don't waste your money. i bought the same one from 02starrider, it's junk. so unless you plan to lap the valves and port the head i wouldn't bother. save your pennies and get one from scrappy or any other reputable dealer. they are expensive for a reason. they actually take the time to port and polish unlike those $35 heads that are in the box the moment the metal cools.

i know i read a post of his somewhere, said the performance fan is designed for less drag so engine temps will run hotter. guess it is mainly for racing or whatever, definitely not something you'd want for daily riding. also thought he said he stopped selling them because of those facts.

The 150cc Chinese scooter that was gifted to me stalls every 10-15 minutes or so... somehow i missed this... you likely have other problems causing it to stall. never heard of gas in the oil causing those symptoms. take care of the oil first and then we can help you with the stalling issue. if you remove the dipstick and smell gas then i highly recommend not running the engine until you solve that problem.

take apart the carb. the valve isn't closing allowing fuel to drain into the cylinder. also check your fuel petcock just to be sure it isn't leaking fuel. should be an easy fix. once you get the bowl on the carb removed just bend the tiny tab so the floats completely close the valve. also change the oil a.s.a.p... i've read gas can damage the crankshaft.

i believe this will fix your problem. same thing happened on my atm50. tightened that nut and it was fine for about 5 days and then while riding the handlebars locked up when i was trying to make a left turn. scared the heck out of me so make sure you tighten the locking nut or it will either become loose again or lock up as in my case.

He just updated his Facebook and said he would be starting a new shop in Florida once he got setup. That's great news for the 150cc guys. i don't have facebook account. does he mention where in florida? Walter also stated that he would be focusing on all scooter types and not just 150 gy6 models like before. lot of 50cc scoots in this state so it's a good move unless he plans to do most of his business through the internet. sure hope he opens shop in broward county or at least south florida.

hard to say without more info. my only thought is the carb floats are not adjusted to the right height. but if that was the case then you would expect the bowl to empty everytime you rode WOT for extended period of time so idk. i think it is going to be hard to diagnose if it randomly happens. maybe someone with more experience can help.
welcome to the forum btw.
