be careful using a heat gun, plastic will shrink with heat added. I know my solution is ghetto but I just drilled a hole through the footbed panel and the side panel and used a zip tie to pull it all back together. Then again my scooter was knocked over by a car in a parking lot by some hit and run driver and it cracked several panels and I used a row of zip ties as stitches to pull the cracked pieces back together where I then superglued the at the cracks.
The cost of new body panels is a joke IMHO.

Now I'm onto another issue... The brake lights don't come on when either brake is squeezed. Since its both I'm guessing something other than one of the switches? What do I look for in that case?

Call and make a complaint to his superiors. If he wants you to stay in the car after stopping you he needs to tell you to please stay put. People saying you should know not to get out or that you should ask permission to get out of your own car on a PUBLIC road?
A policeman is a "law enforcement" officer not a "invent laws, go psycho and threaten citizens" dictator. I would go down and ask to speak to their public relations officer and demand a mediation hearing with this officer. Your local news TV and paper could use a good cop abuse story.

Ok so more mystery to unravel, should my brake lights go on if I just have the key to on but the engine not running? If so, I may have another issue altogether.

Sorry to hear about the troubles but my advice is get it out of the way now...your cats have a lower life expectancy than you do and going on the lam is not going to do you any good and last I checked pets were not able to care for their owners.

When I hit the button I do not hear any solenoid clicking so sounds like a grounding issue. My question is where would the grounds on this be?

Thanks for the excpicit directions. The scoot starts by jumping the solenoid, the kill switch will kill the motor but the start button just isn't shorting the solenoid. I'll have to track down the grounding locations for the starter button wires, any directions or ideas on where I should look? My scooter panels were removed for warranty maintenence (so said the PO) before I got it so many of the tabs for the panels are gone so I have an elaborate system of heavy zip ties keeping them all butted up to each other and the less I have to remove the better.

I'm a little annoyed the old forum threads and usernames didn't get moved over but...
My Znen 150 stopped turning over using the electric start. I have never gotten the kickstarter to start it but that's another story, but it is correctly installed.
How do I check the system from the button down to the starter for continuity and such?
