I've done about all that can be done to a 50cc scoot you can get the gears if you like but they work better on the bigger kits I've said all I can say I won't tell you unless I have tried it which I have

Up the weights a gear upgrade on a 72cc kit isn't advised probably not enough power to push the taller gear

I'd put in heavier weights go up a gram should drop the rpms I like to run at around 8000 rpm max 46 is a good speed for a 50cc you may not gain anymore speed but its safer for the motor

check by the piston in the jug make sure its visually at the top of the jug, that's real top dead center

I'm an in town rider and the mods i did made my scoot much faster, but it was unnecessary would of been fine stock, the 150cc is perfect for in town and back highways, but in 70 zones its a no go, i think i could ride the roads on the 70 zones but would have it maxed which is bad for the motor

Oh and I look at top dead on the piston before I take it out and replace it with the bigger better stuff check the original timing and set accordingly

Set the timing right I go by the piston in the jug sometimes the marks are off rare though but don't rely on the flywheel

You may be ok with the spacer just look at the piston in the jug at tdc you will be able to tell if you need more clearance

keep it get a motorcycle license it was cheap here i spent around 100 bucks to tag get the motorcycle license and insurance is 15 bucks a month through geico get the paperwork. I modded my 150 but it really didn't need it.
