It would raise compression and will work you may need an extra gasket.

I don't replace the valve cover gasket unless it leaks.

You also could have a small hole in the piston seen it many times on scoots with half your mileage.

With over 5k miles your rings are possibly worn causing less compression and power output these China scoots don't come with top notch componets time for a rebuild.

I put alot of money in mine saving for a BMW 650cc scooter or motorcycle, but going to keep my scooter too much money and time in it, id never make my money back.

I usually just cut it off and stick a screw or bolt in the end of it that fits real snug. After market carbs have a shut off on the carb itself and you can totally do away with the hose.

It performed good till it failed, for the price I guess its worth it. I'd do a scrappy Buford head way far the best even over the hoca.

Put on the stroker your crank bearings may be shot good thing you have the parts.
