As I'm pulling up to work today: I see a small pothole I can't avoid, so I slow way down, and go over it. The scoot immediately died. I coasted into a spot and went in. I came out to check on it, tried to start with electric start, so close, but just couldn't quite start. Well, after inspecting, I noticed a real small fuel leak. It was coming from a screw... I noticed it could be tightened, I tightened as well as I could. More attempts to start, both electric and kick, to no avail. Well I came back out 20 minutes later and kick started it right up. Cool. So after work I head home and halfway there it dies at the stop sign. I pull it aside and look underneath. Yep, that screw was gone. I walked balk up the street a hundred yards or so, no hope in finding it. Anyways, once a friend helps me get it home, I took a pic of it so someone can help me identify a) what it is, I'm still learning. and b) what size is that screw and is it a special thread?

I have one that looks similar to that and if it's the same thing as mine, it drains the float bowl for winter storage. And that's probably more than I know.

It just sucks because it won't start without it. So it's sidelined until I can replace it.

That is your float bowl drain screw. It is on the end of a fuel line that attaches to the bottom of your carburetor. If it's missing, the float bowl will drain, meaning you have no fuel in your carb. You can order them from any number of scooter parts vendors, and in the meantime you can purchase a .15 cent cap at any auto parts store, remove the drain line from the bottom of the carb and put the cap on the outlet.

I usually just cut it off and stick a screw or bolt in the end of it that fits real snug. After market carbs have a shut off on the carb itself and you can totally do away with the hose.

Thank you Jerry and millsc. You guys are a big help. Now, how do I get enough fuel into the carb to start it up? I'm having a hard time finding a replacement online, but that won't really matter once I cap it off.

I suck on the vacuum line that lead to the fuel pump until I hear the carb fill up. Never fail to work.

I've got the same issue as Blink on my 2017 Linhai 150. Found the screw on the street a couple times. Used some Permatex blue 'threadlocker' to end that problem. Third time, I found the hose that runs from that fitting to the actual carb drain port had slipped off the carb due to either a faulty clamp or hose. Finagled it back on and bike runs fine, but need to fix it permanently. Still trying to figure out how to access the darn port (too tight for hands, too much stuff in the way) to either replace the hose and/or clamp, or just cap off the port. Want to fix it before I sell the bike.

just plug that hose its practically worthless the entire hose will have rotted of before you ever need the valve for its intended purpose
a bolt a ball bearing a 22 case a stick a particularly strong booger whatever plugs it up

they are a shitty design but the easiest way is to simply remove the dangly screw piece and fold the line over to pinch the line shut and use some tape or twist tie or even a zip tie, what ever floats your boat to keep it folded
