I plan on checking my valve gaps this weekend and I was wondering, Are there a gasket I will need to replace after servicing my scooter's valves? Is the old one good to reuse 1 time? The videos don't tell ya.

I don't replace the valve cover gasket unless it leaks.

I haven't replaced it, and I've done valve adjustments on several friends scooters without replacing it. I do inspect, clean, and lube it with a bit of oil before reseating it.

Ive never replaced that gasket on any of my bikes ever even when they look like they dried out and shriveled. Never had a leak problem. Theirs no pressure in there due to the engine vent.
