So I had some time to do some riding this weekend. It gave me an opportunity to get some more bridges...and make a little noise going through them. I hope you all enjoy the video.

So i started a new motovlog series. Lancaster county has a bunch of covered Bridges. I'm trying to get three or more at a time. If the weather clears tomorrow, I'm hoping to get out for more footage.
For now, here's the first installment.

as a guy who sells tires (as well as automotive services), for a living, I say a resounding DON'T DO IT!
If it's an absolute last resort just to limp to the shop to get a new hoop, you might be ok, but it's never a permanent fix on a motorcycle (including scooters), unless you have a car tire on the back, which is in itself another issue entirely.
Here's the reason: when it comes to car tires, one should never, ever put a plug in the shoulder of the tire. When plugging a tire, you should only do so in the area between the shoulders and no closer to the shoulder than about a thumb's width. the shoulder is where the sidewall and tread surface meet as well as where the cords inside transition from going bead to bead, to having a top layer going around the circumference of the tire. Since the sidewall is where your suspension pretty much starts and it is bearing the weight of the vehicle and passengers, compromising the connecting area between the sidewall and treadsurface (the shoulder), is unwise.
Transitioning back to motorcycles, the tread surface on motorcycle tires is pretty much all shoulder since they don't have a flat area on the tread surface. that being the case, there really is no safe place to plug or patch these tires.

OCG: I like the pipe on my Honda. Makes a fun noise. I try to go for the "ride-a-long" feel since that's been a common compliment on all my vids.
Wheelbender: Maggie sits in an "Outward Hound" pooch pouch. It has a latch for her collar, but she sits happily even if I forget to latch her in (which I did for the first leg to the trip). She is a Maltese, and just loves to be with me.

Maggie and I went for a ride the other day. She really enjoyed the 70 degree (F) weather, and the attention she got at each of our stops. Please like, share, and subscribe to my YouTube Channel.

With the warmer weather, the filming has re-commenced. It's my second new motovlog in as many days. This time I take a ride to Roots' Market near Manheim, PA. This is one of the many farm markets in the area. Also, I'm not sure what it was, but there was a horrible stench.

A summer day in February. Who knew? Anyway, it gave me a good opportunity to ride to work. I hope you enjoy my latest Motovlog. It's been a while since my last video, but the weather outside's been frightful.

I know, it's about a car, but I am the Scootin' Fool, and I do mention scooters. It also regards fuel economy which is important to scooterists.

Yeah, salt is an issue. Not so big a deal yesterday when I was riding since it was very dry and there was no active slush and salt on the roads. I tend to avoid those days.
it is nice to ride in the cold though, very bracing.

Riding a motorbike in the winter may seem crazy, until you realize, people ride snowmobiles, so what's the big deal? A cold commute, and some thoughts about tires, winter riding safety, and being kind to others.

I think your videos are cool! I went to Franklin & Marshall College "in the 1980's" - do you ever ride around there? Post a vlog of that, if you could - I wonder how the campus has changed... Well thank you most kindly I do have a couple videos that feature the college. I will post them below here so you don't need to search my channel for them. maggie and the dog park (which is behind F&M) A brief tour of Lancaster.

Nice video! It's good to see a genuine trip of some distance on a 150. And in "cool" weather too!Personally I know nothing about the Honda PCX 150, but have heard a lot of good things about them. I imagine they have considerably more speed and road-capability than the typical "generic" 150's. It would be good if you could give a brief post on the capabilities of the PCX... Sort of a "road test write-up".Could be, it is the scooter many might "upgrade" to from the typical Chinese 150. I know they are considerably more costly than the Chinese scoots, but Honda quality is tops. What I'm wondering is how much more performance it offers. You seem to be able to run with most traffic, and that is not usually the case with lower-end 150's. A number of members might opt for a scoot like yours in lieu of a used 250 if it would meet their needs... Enquiring minds want to know... LOL! It would also be interesting for you to compare your PCX 150 with your Piaggio BV 250. The Italian scoots seem MUCH faster than their Asian counterparts. It would be most interesting to compare a high-performance Japanese 150 with a VERY high-performance Italian 250. I haven't enjoyed much riding for a couple of weeks... Seems sunny, warm Dallas Texas has gotten some of your weather! 25 to 40-degrees and rain, with 40-mph winds. EEWWW! Should warm up to 70 tomorrow, so I'll dig the old mouse out from under the tarps. My feral-cat friends will have to move off the scoot's floor, and go under my soggy trailer-house for an afternoon... LOL! Ah, it's tough to be a cat... HeHeHe!
Keep up the swell vids!Leo in Texas The PCX has quite a bit of get up and go to it. Now I do have a racing variator in it, which helps, but it is very very peppy, on par with a lot of 250's like you suggest. Once I get the BV's fork leg fixed, I can do a comparison, but that's not going to happen until next year. tbh, i've done little riding since my birthday (see new thread), simply due to a very uncomfortable illness that has beset me. I plan to ride later in the week to get some more video though.

I know it's been a while, but I have finally posted a new #motovlog. This episode was filmed on my birthday. I discuss the events of last year's birthday, talk about the Keurig coffeemaker, touch on the importance of proper tire inflation, and scare the bejeebers out of some crows. Job done.
