On a motorcycle or scooter, safety should always be first. In this motovlog, I talk to beginner riders about Counter-Steering and Progressive Braking, and demonstrate them both.

Howdy folks. It's been a few days, but I've got a new vlog. Still working on the audio quality a bit, but getting there. On Monday I went to get scope mounts put on my squirrel gun, stopped in at a Harley shop and got some nice footage of Autumn in northern Lancaster County.

It really is good insurance. My purposes are for providing entertainment for my viewers, but even just for having a record of poor behavior on the part of other motorists, a camera doesn't go amiss.

I had a bad day today when it comes to taking videos. Nothing seemed to be going right, until I checked the mail and there was a present just for me! a new Sena Prism Tube Camera. Here are my initial thoughts.

Maggie went for a ride to the Redbox and met people. She said hi to several people though some people ignored her. Poor Maggie. I also talk about why scooters are a better cost investment than a car.

Maggie was disappointed the last time I took her for a ride because the window at CVS only produced a hand to pet her. We fixed that today and went to the Magic Window.

The elite 80 is a solid machine, it's vacuum cleaner looks aside. They're common enough and still supported by Honda as far as I know, so parts availability is pretty good. That carb isn't all that old, so a good cleaning will probably do the trick, but if you really want a full gasket/seal set for it just to be safe, you may as well since you got the scoot for free. Sounds like a fun project indeed. |

So I was driving my work vehicle today and had a run in with an idiot on a sport bike. I wish I'd had a camera running, really I do. Interestingly, I don't think scooter people act like this generally. We're actually the polite people of the motorcycling world.

Maggie rides again! It's been a week and a half since her oral surgery, and Maggie is just as pleased to be back in the saddle again as I was to have her along!

If putting in a new battery didn't fix the problem, it's likely an issue with your charging system or overdraw from accessories. You should test the stator and regulator/rectifier with a multimeter.

This afternoon I heard the awful news that a new friend had been killed in a motorcycle wreck. He was a young man with a lot of promise and potential. So hard to believe that he is gone.
