I can help you with the grease question after a little research for a high drop point grease [melting point] I found Lucas Red "N" Tacky 540 degree drop point can get it at auto zone. Kool I had one of them mini grease guns, but can't find it. May be time to get a new one specifically for the scoot. Autozsone loves me, and my 10% discount Thanx

I can't see a trunk making any significant difference in speed on anything under 50/60 MPH. Seriously, does anyone think that a trunk is gonna slow ya down when you're on a 50cc scoot? Just put the damn thing on, use it as you will, and ride. The drag coefficient ain't gonna make no difference on a 50cc scoot gong 24 MPH

Alley - this is a question for you As I had mentioned, I believe the four larger bolts (top of the axle on attached pic) need to be loosened, then the 4 eye bolts (below the axle) need to be adjusted, equally, to loosen the chain. My questions is: should the rear end be off the ground, to reduce any tension/pressure, or should the rear end be on the ground? Or does it make any difference? Also, I see a greese zerk in the middle of the differential/housing. Can I assume Chinese grease is as bad as chinese oil, and slam some grease in there? Is there any way to tell when enuf grease is in there? I know, too many questions, but I wanna get this thing right BEFORE I strarting putting some serious miles on it. And, making everything is tight/solid/lubricated as it should be to prevent any premature breakdowns. Other than that, I do like the bike and hope to ride as soon as it quits raining Tanks Dave Attachments:

Awesome but how often do you have to adjust the chain? My guess is initially, and monitor for potential stretching, then twist n go.

Next Project: Yea, I think the chain is too tight. It has like no movement at all, and it should be like 3/4 in. I THINK i can see where there are 4 heavy duty bolts that can be loosened, and I see 4 eye bolts that appear to be adjustable to bring the swing arm IN to loosen the chain a bit. Pics, when I get back to the geerege and start that task. Unlewss , you, alley, can confirm or deny my hypotheses. , what ya think old man??? (LOL) Alley Thanx for confirming Tomorrows project Got the time while awaiting registration Dave You got it BRO right on the money Alleyoop

That sucks $15,000 / 80 = 187.50 Not a bad price for a MC engine Stored at your expense destroyed or returned. Seems you lose eihter way. Good luck and I hope you prevail yup thats about the price we pay for each engine. But thats because we buy a certain required amount. Agreed, buy in bulk for a better discount. Yea, what was the problem? There goes US and China business relations!!! (LOL)

Then, I look for the Trans Fill Plug. I look everywhere, except where it said on the side of the engine "OIL .75L" But, if you notice, it's right behind that dern plate. And an open end 17mm didn't work, nor did a box end 17mm, so I went to get a crows foot. Didn't have just one, so had to get the set. Oh well., may need em later in life. But, that didn't work either. Eventually, I had to cut open an area from the plate, around the fill plug, to get a 17mm socket in there. What a PITA. But, where there's a will.... so, now next time it'll be a whole lot easier. Next Project!!!! Attachments:

I've got my new 300cc Icebear Zodiac the other day and been going thru it to make sure all is as it should be and to familiarize myself with the undrpinings of the beast while I await the papework to get it registered. I did the engine oil change with ease, but then moved on to the trans/rear gear/rear end oil change. Looked underneath (after having looked all over) for the drain plug. But, I see two drain plugs. Question now is which one is the trans drain plug. Attachments:
