Ordered a cheap 40.00 dollar carb. from Scrappy,if it still bogs or won't start I'll know for sure it's something very serious. By the way is those Jog Type carbs. any good? Also has anyone out there had any trouble with a TK carb?

No I haven't really done that, when it was new I took a small ratchet and checked the head bolts, a couple moved a little, like a crack sound, no damage I guess LOL! Anyway's today I'm starting to tear it down, only way that I'll be able to see what's going on. If it's a wiring issue I'm throwing in the towel. Sure could use all the advice anyone could give me. Thanks!!! P.S. You asked me about leaks? I'll check the head as soon as I take off the shroud.

The original TK carb.was rich, until I made a bonehead mistake and dropped it on the garage floor. So I thought that I would put it back on my scoot,MAN talk about rich!! It was blowing oil and the exaust like Opec!! So I decided to put this semi used carb. on that the dealer sent me because the other one was a little too rich, now like I said this other carb. is way too lean. It's a fuel problem, got to be a bad carb.??

I have a 2011 2T Jonway I bought new April 5th this year an no matter what I do it wont richen up.It's a TK brand carb.an it has no needle clip adjustment on it,its also got this crazy looking spring loaded needle valve and it just hooks on the plastic float,no metal on the float at all so no way to adjust the float. I've got a 40 pilot jet an 74 main jet in it,when new it had a 68 main in it.Should I up jet it more or what? I don't know of any other way to do it. I've almost got the a/f screw turned all the way in also. Thanks for any Ideas. It's been so lean for so long that I'm afraid that I may have done some damage to my piston. P.S. Where can I find a good carb. that will fit my 1E40QMb Minarelli Jog Type Engine ? It's been a pain for me to try an find one. Forget my other post,I was misled on the guy that told me about those carbs. Thanks Again!!

Sorry guys, wrong answer. The place I bought my new 2T from put the wrong size carb. on my scoot. It is suppose to have 19mm carb. on it. 16mm is more or less for a 46cc engine. We all make mistakes! The best carbs. are Delordo, High Grade and High Dollar.Measure your intake from center of carb. to get the right MM. ;D

Not trying to get off the topic of carbs but how do you know if you have a bad reed valve? The carb. is not responding to any adjustments. I've tried everything to fix my carb. issue, even a different carb. this scoot is just getting too hot. Lots of overheating, wet pipe and dry pipe. I'm about ready to throw the towel in. Would putting one of those new blue racing CDI's help me? Also using Bel-Ray semi syn. scooter oil. Also my 45 pilot jet seems to work a lot better than that 40 pilot jet. I'm totally confused. Need some help pretty bad. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

I have my air mixture screw turned in pretty far now, does anyone know how I could find a 42 pilot jet? My main jet no. is 11/22 if that helps any? Been buying my jets from Power Barn also,it's not too bad of place for carb. parts.
