I have a Jonway 2T scoot and was wondering if I could go from a 16mm carb. to a 19mm Carb.? It has a stock exaust pipe on it also. Engine Model is a 1E40QMB Minarelli Jog type. Brand of Carb. thats on it now is a TK. I've been having a lot of trouble with this brand of Carb. Would appreciate any answers.

Don't smoke much at all if any,I put about a cap to cap an a half an it starts to smoke more + pipe isn't dry.What could be wrong. I use Bel-Ray Semi Syn. Scooter blend,low smoke forumlia.

I removed my oil hose going to the carburetor at an idle to see how much oil was pumping, well it was pumping like a squirt every couple seconds, is that normal? Don't have a cable running to my pump as far as I can see.

[replyingto=scootnwinn]scootnwinn[/replyingto]Now how would you set the valves while it's running? NO! Intake set at 0.04 exaust at0.05 just like I have for years.It sounds like the oil pump went out of it, I don't really know yet but I do know this Scoot has seen better days though.

Reset valves to speak rattles real bad now ,was so bad couldn't get a feeler gauge in Starts better though.

Valves closed tight, re adjusted intake to 00.4,exaust 00.5 severe rattle, yes top dead center,any answers?

OLd Carb. New Carb. same issue, its not the idle on the new carb. or old one.Also the back wheel just keep spinning an when you hit the brake it kills the engine, like a direct connection transmission,if you get what I mean?My Buddie broke a belt an some how put a new one on without taking off the clutch or the vairator. Never heard of that one. He did tell me it was a pain though.Took him all day He said also. P.S. This scoot has been abused bad an also my Buddy hit a car on it the other day. Said It ran pretty good until then.

This is propably the trouble. Very hard starting an once I do get it started it has a very very high idle. Could that be the valve adjustment? Also the cvt is locked up,when the wheel spins fast an when you apply the back brake it kills the engine. It' like it has direct drive or something. This Scoot has been abused bad!

New carb. an very fast idle, same as old carb.Very hard starting, could it be a valve adjustment?

I use star- tron gets the ethanol out. Oh I've got a way to clean out the tank as soon a skuttadawg sends me some how to take off the tank pictures. LOL!!! ;D Going to try some sea foam some day though

Been having fuel issues with this scoot since it was delivered to my house. When I clean out my carb. the fuel flowes good but after a couple of days the clear fuel filter starts to run out of gas an then the carb.seems to also. Been burning more oil than gas when this happens. Man people I am lost on this one. There is some dirt also in my fuel filter also,I thought may be some dirt was getting through my screen in my filter also,also thought maybe bad fuel lines and bad fuel pump. It did set for 2years new before i got it,I'm sure that didn't help it any. Any answers would be appreciated.

Whats the compression on my 1E40QMB 2T suppose to be? Thanks For Any Help! I'm sure it's lower than a 4T?
