Cool you got it! Lol on mine the db killer was welded in...but they also gave me an extra one that has a screw hole kinda weird. But the exhaust is plenty loud for me even with it in so im not too annoyed with it.

Nvm! Didnt see yhat last post. I think il do something similar I have some sheet metal laying around. Im not planning on going for a larger piston unless I need to rebuild my engine so I think my 24mm carb should suffice for now. With my bigger exhaust header and free flow exhaust I went from like 52mph to 60. Iy seemed to get to 60 faster with a 108 jey but I didnt wana blow it up so I went to 110 and It takes a long time to make 60. Hopefully with the uni and a114 or115 it will get to 60 faster. ill be happy with that honestly. Maybe in the future ill use a 28 or 30mm carb but if I can get it to cruise at 60 a little better with the stock carb ill be happy. When this engine craps out maybe ill get a bigger cylinder intake n carb who knows. 30seems like overkill on a stock motor but who knows maybe it would help. Anyone else running a 30mm without a big bore?

Let me know if you find a good way to secure it. If nothinh works we can get the metal intake but id rather not spend another 20 bucks

So is the goal to route the tube under thebar then out. Or to route it away before it gets to the bar? Also how to you secure it from bouncing? Im worried itll move around and crack my intake unless I secure it. The crossbar doesnt seem like a good idea to secure it too cuz itll move in relation to the engine/swingarm.

Im waiting on a uni style filter in the mail too. I ordered one with a 45 degree bend but idk if that will clear the bar either. I hope i dont have to make anything, but I have a feeling I probably will. Radiator hose and pvc works right? What size pvcand hose works on a 24mm carb and42mm filter?

Well I just adjusted my valves for the first time at like 800 miles, its working great now, imstead of 2-3 cranks to turn over it starts on tge first turn and sound rly happy now. Did .004 in .005 exh. It wasnt hard at all once I got the valve cover off. It was a little annoying getting the bolts off because of a lack of space to work in. Had to use a wrench instead of a socket for the bottom two. Anyways I was wondering how often most of you adjust? Is once every 1000miles adequate? I figure ill do it every 1000 and maybe sooner if I notice it taking longer to start or anything.

My back drum is pretty weak, cant even make it skid, well at least it wont lock up lol. My front is decent. I can stop rly quickly though using both. I have no complaints. Even from top speed I can stop pretty darn quick

I have zero mods tho. My scooter was stock. Not just trying to be contrary. You're probably correct in the vast majority of cases but I haven't even put a uni on yet. Everything is stock but the header and exhaust. I duno why my scoot was so slow stock but just the exhaust kit did wonders. I expect it to be even better when I do mod it further. Like I said I think my scoot is just an anomaly, but I'm glad such a cheap exhaust helped me out. No way I'd spend over 100 bucks for an exhaust on such a cheap bike Exactly my point on a much better or real exh. Cost is why wee won't see anything. Knowbody will pony up once they've got used to the Junk and its low price. Were getting exactly what we pay for. Junk! Lol, true. I'm dead jealous of my friend who just bought a used yoshimura setup from his buddy for only a bill. If I had that opportunity I'd go straight for the higher end, they are worth the extra money, I'm just more inclined to make the plunge once I buy a real motorcycle. That way my exhaust won't cost more than the bike and it'll be easier to justify the price haaha

Like barely any room whatsoever. I had to play around with it to even get it to clear. But some spacers on the ring mount thing made me able to just barely clear the shock. Its rly designed for the single shock ones...but its simple if u getcreative. The swingarm even makes the mount get in tge way of the oil cap, but I grinded some of to make it fit. Took me like two seconds with a belt sander. No bending was required.

And I dont claim to know anything about exhausts...but when I put one on a stock scoot and gained 8mph top speed it worked regardless of whether or not I understand why it works.

I beg to differ. I picked up an exhaust kit for 66 bucks, with a larger diameter header, and a free flow exhaust with a sturdy mount. I wasn't expecting much, but my 150 which wouldn't pass 52 mph stock for some reason now can go 60mph+. Its crazy, I honestly just got it for sound and looks, expecting only very mild performance gains once I put on a uni and upjetted. I haven't even gotten my uni yet and just the exhaust system alone added considerably to my top speed. Maybe my scoot just had the perfect conditions for it to make a difference and these kind of results aren't typical, but it without a doubt helped my top end out, and not just a little bit. I think it all really depends on the scoot, I was pleasantly surprised at my results. The eBay exhausy s did look like junk though with their stockish headers, but the one I found on aliexpress did wonders for me. Once my uni arrives as well I'll see if it makes a difference too.

Strap wrench. Same concept as taking an oil filter off a car. No need for an impact, just a breaker bar, socket, and strap wrench
