I think my gas tank just has one petcock on top that went to the plastic check valve then canister. The vacuum line went to the canister. The bottom where the gas comes out is just a hose that goes down to my fuel valve which has three fittings, gas in, gas out, and vacuum, my fuel valve is not on my tank.

Ya I just removed the air box. I capped off the vacuum line and took off the canister. Im confused about one thing tho, for the gas tank vent do I just run a hose with a filter off the vent or do I still use the check valve that was on the line before the canister?

Thanks, but im not worried about the pair system, that's another job for another day once I make or buy a block off plate. I'm just wondering about the vapor canister hose which I think vents vapor into the tube between airbox and carb. I just need to know if that can go to open air without messing anything up

Also, how would I go about removing my charcoal canister?

Well I'm removing my air box for a uni, and I need some help with hoses and such. I'm not gona remove my charcoal canister until I get some vacuum caps and extra fuel filters, and I'm wondering if the hose that goes from my charcoal canister into the intake tube between the air box and carb can just go into open air for now, the vacuum line will still be connected. Doesn't that hose just return gas fumes into the intake? Would that be OK just to go to open air?
That's the only hose left, my valve cover vent is just zip tied to the frame w a filter on the end, and I'll probably do the same with the CVT vent.

My bike uses 130 10s and they are great on the upper end of their rating. My bike is stable at 60plus even on the little 10s

Haha apple...they come out with "new" versions of laptops which have less power than their old ones but they charge way more cuz it looks pretty or something. I've always used pc, I suspect if I was more into computers I'd use Linux but for all I need to do windows works just fine on a 300 dollar laptop. But yeah...Chinese bikes are just fine, people who have never owned one, or who don't like to work on machines seem to have the bad opinions. If I wanted to drop 3 to 5k I don't have on a bike I'd get myself a CBR, r6, or a nice adv bike. But for commuting my 1200 dollar Zuma clone works perfectly and its so simple I have fun working on it and don't feel intimidated by its complexity. It makes me feel a lot better knowing that most work on these bikes is doable with basic tools and help from this forum. For someone who likes to tinker theres rly no better deal than China scoots

Phew, I was worried haha, i suspected it was the shroud though because its a lot of air, and the brand new gasket shouldnt leak THAT much. This scooter is makin me ocd, but I do love working on it, I just want everything perfect. Glad my popping is gone though! Kinda made me nervous about burning my engine up or something terrible even if it did sound cool

Well...strangely enough with the new gasket I no longer get any pops on decelleration like I did before which was what I was aiming for...but I just hope imnot leaking. Is it normal to feel hot airflow by the exhaust header from the fan blowing?

I just installed one of those metal gaskets that covers the whole flange, and im concerned about possible leaking. When I put my hand by the flange I can feel hot air blowing by but im not sure if its the air from the fan blowing through the shroud or from the gasket leaking...anyone have a similar experience? Should I get some red rtv gasket maker maybe to make sure?
