I'd have a Indian. Ran into this gut at Rockingham last fall. Stock other than the air shifter that is actuated with the Horn button. low 11's and had a couple of high 10 second passes.  |

"The golden years of the 50s where a factory worker could buy a house, a brand new car and raise 3 children are not coming back" I remember those golden years extending into the early 1970s, PistonGuy. High school educated fellows from the north with good union jobs could afford a house, a family, and really nice vacations. Growing up in Georgia, we saw them passing thru on their way to and from Florida. We were jealous, of course. OMG yes, I grew up 30 mile east of Cleveland and back in the day most didn't even need high school education. had a family member or bud hook you up with a union job and you were off. Ill tell ya tho on Some of that competition one of my closest friends worked for Republic Steele, his father got him in, after some time he told of these shanties some of guys built, I was like huh? he told me they got on hook up on overtime, time and a half and double time and there were able to pull off building these heated shanties with tv's, microwaves, coffee makers on property and go sit in them and pull massive amounts of overtime, Hmm maybe had something to do with they weren't able to compete due to there cost. then the 80's came and as i was turning wrenches and selling equipment 60+ hours a week straight time he was making double what I was at home on unemployment, just when the unemployment would run out the union would bring him back in just long enough to make him eligible again for extended benefits , then once again laid off until just before the benefits would expire and repeat. That went on for years and was able to make a very comfortable living that way. was hard not to get jealous of that at my younger age. |

Chinese workforce is a lot cheaper than US workforce, why on earth do you want a job back to the US if you can't afford to buy anything because everything will be US made and too expensive for the average Joe factory worker?. The golden years of the 50s where a factory worker could buy a house, a brand new car and raise 3 children are not coming back, not because "they took 'er jebs", but because we as human population got more griddy and overpopulation. According to some of the comments here, some of you guys need to turn off Fox news, get a passport and go out and meet the world outside your borders, you will be surprised that the world is not what you thought it was, and you have a lot to learn. Hogs in Texas,Gators in Florida, Snapping Turtles in Louisiana, Kangaroo in western Australia, Moose in Maine, Canada or Alaska. etc.
For me back in that day were Dairy cows that got lose at night,Had some local boys hit that 1,250lb+ lb beast and it was over, headlights weren't what they are today and seeing out front far enough to not hit a cow or deere in the country at posted speeds became a butt pucker ride home.
Next were the land Crabs at night in the Tropics on a rented Honda Elite scooter, id call them clickers as the clicked skidding across the road at night, they are big with that one Big Claw, the Moon provide more light than that headlight in the Tropics, was a big smooch hitting them darn near slipping on a banana.
The Deere are so thick here in my area of NC, I just won't ride the CBR from town a few miles away after dark, and ride like a woosey boy on the scoot home. just older and wiser don't care bout diyin, just don't want to be in a wheelchair.

I don't understand why the Blazer will be built in Mexico. Toyota builds full size trucks in Texas. My Nissan pickup was made in Mexico and it is very reliable. I just hate to see all those jobs leave the country. Oh Yota loves to brag in these parts that there Truck is made in Texas. American Made right? As far as I'm concerned its a marketing ploy nothing else. My pappy raised a family in the golden era of American tooling and manufacturing on the American auto manufactures among many others like CAT, JD, IH, etc. The fastest way to get booted from the family was to even consider a foreign car. Ironic my little brother manufactures whip guides for Gun Drills and Toyota is his largest customer. But c'mon ya hate to see the jobs got to Mexico from Texas but you bought a Nissan HQ in Japan and made in Mexico. |

Okay gentlemen, let's stick with the topic. Congress hasn't been able to put together an immigration policy in decades and Ellis Island is closed. I briefly owned a Kymco and it was solidly built. Except, of course it came with a fried piston and barrel because of a non-too-bright owner who ran the two stroke without oil. Unlike some I have a fair amount of miles on my China scoots and didn't experience the difficulties of some in these last ten years. I examined Wolf and Bintelli scooters and they're a long way in materials from my 2008 Bashan. Low price Chinese 50cc scooters rule the road and can be a gateway to bigger, brand name scoots. These low cost rides are the last hope for a growing scooter market here. An increase in cost will keep people on four wheels while people who ride motorcycles will increase. Agreed 6fiddy. You have some hard core miles on yer rear and I truly value your experience. theres no bs in you.. The 50's here locally are all licker sickles, these folks are down to no license and money and the 50 is there only means of transportation, a 25% or so increase on them will put a serious hurt on there weekly liquor and or meth habit.. |

C'mon now guys and gals,NOBODY on the site would approve of genocide of any kind. Just enforcement of the existing laws.  Not a good idea these days to joke about that stuff I suppose... Years ago in my day, you could say things like that and nobody took offense. Today, we have a nation that has made a fine art of being offended... and every word is taken literally and offensively. First Im not going to be labeled as some sorry arse thin skinned woos who can't take a casual crude comment, I make them all the time, If your around me I say in a nonsense casual way they outa be shot. Now taking to a level putting it in print from a casual comment to round them up en mass and shoot them is a different level and then, the next level to repeat and Quote the wife, Thats were the ignorant yankee and equally ignorant wife crossed the line with me. A little history, Both my grandparents on my Mothers side were immigrants from Slovakia they came thru Ellis island the legal way, researching the village were both are from was shocking, first the Socialist Nazi's came and rounded up all the Jews, suspected Jews and gipsies, they were all lined up and shot, then once the Nazis were beat back by the Russian Communists they rounded up all the people who were left as they had no choice but to collaborate with the Nazis under there occupation and were all rounded up and shot. there was nobody left they were all lined up En Mass and Shot, if my grandparents would have not left I would not exist. The Border ya lets do that, I made a decision one night that saved my life from being shot El Chapo's cartel. We did a race in Chihuahua and my Mexican home boy rider wanted to stay with some buds in Juarez, I declined the hospitality and got a nice room in El paso, well one of the three new the wrong person and three teen cartel members put them all on the floor and shot them in the back of the head with hollow point .45acp and made his Sister watch. the inside scoop was they were about to get one guy and if you are in the room with them you all were executed, Cartel paid $1,000 US per head, Rene Reyes is his name you can look it up. And guess what? your communicating with a Shooter right now, if you are a regular evening news watcher in the DFdub you saw me on the news. Few will ever truly know the sound a bullet makes when it hits a human body, a sickening thud, oh ya up close and personal style were ya can feel his breath on your face as you blow his guts out his back. then watch the life leave the body, you or nobody wants that in there head to follow them the rest of there life. Its a horrible thing to have to do or do. |
