It will also almost stop the skipping and sputtering when I'm going uphill. I forgot to add that. It is worse on straightaways, and even worse going downhill. Uphill, it almost completely stops. Engine Load The More the Load the Worse it gets. ?? hmm?

I did the valves one week ago, I set them both to .005 and it ran great for a day. then started doing the same thing again. I have the bike apart, I will recheck the lash in both, the scoot has good spark, but wont even start now and I dont smell gas when I try to start it, I think I may have but the carb back together wrong and the floats are not operating properly. because it starts runs for awhile and dies like its out of fuel. I hope anyway. Ran Great for a day? your on to something Dbbl check that Valve Lash. repeat good luck

Wont start/stay running Hot. Are you Sure your Valves are not Closing up when Hot? When was the last time you checked your Valve Lash Clearance? Your Symptoms are classic valve lash closing when Hot and Hanging the exh valve open to not run/start till room temp.

Is the scoot on a flat surface? is the engine hot or cold? It was cold, not sure about flat surface, maybe that's why. There isn't a single level flat surface on my property, makes me believe the house must be weird too. I've actually walked all over the yard trying to find a level spot before, haha. Will check again in a bit. Have you smelled/tasted it? Fuel in der? I know it the Mystery Self leveling oil. at onetime it was overfilled and the Memory Oil expanded to its level.

So, my new Prodigy variator didn't come with a bushing/boss. I guess they assume you will re-use your original. Unfortunately my original is part of the problem. The bushing has a little rust on it and I think that is what wore out the bushing inside my variator housing. I can't see installing the old and suspect part in a new variator and wrecking that one too. So where do I purchase just the bushing/boss? Not having a lot of luck searching the web so far. Looks to be the standard size. 15mm inside, a bit over 24 outside and a bit over 51 long. Match up with straight bore Wrist Pin, Tool Steele bunch a piston co. ou there that have a bunch of 24x15- wiseco.com, jepiston.com, cppiston.com

The starting fluid works as a cleaner (Ether). I keep a tin of Laquer Thinner on hand to do the same but a little more controlled.

Cometicgasket.com Concord Ohio 800/752-9850 if they don't have it they can custom cut from a plethora of materials and thickness. you can throw a Copper head gasket in a oven at 500 for awhile and reused but fooling yourself on that above method. I never saw it work even in a ol Don Deere whopping 3,600 rpm motor.

What grit would I use if I were to attempt it? Take the Head to the store were your going to get the Emory cloth, they usually have drawers of diff grits Maybe two diff grits, One grit will do tho to make seal without worry. You can finish with Fine, Wet and make Jewelry. you'll get it
