Hoping someone got and opinion on my mind's question. Both bikes sound same stuff... Top speed,4 valve, price range. So,what would make up ones mind. I think s max would be a me favored choice to start but would like opinions on the question. I might like the smallness of smax but ride of 16 in wheels. Seems both can hang with a 250 speed wise. Maby I'm crazy for asking cause they seem a dead heat?

I got a Bms Pathfinder 200 (iron) starter spun so quick w/ that 177cc 62 mm piston was crazy, no trouble at all. Also a dfmoto, the quality on those is a joke if your a nonwrencher, but bullet proof 61 mm 80 stud space ship monster,no complaints. Just try when dealing with any volume dealer to get to points( in & out) do your own research cause they do probably feel they don't owe you the whole world for a bargain scoot. Last was a recent purchase. BTW shipping was like 9 days even w/ out expedited service and was all set up. Only needed oil change to some break in rotella.

Anyone have a nice pic of a mounted oil cooler for gy6 150 scoot? Also, maby just advice where to mount and maby the differences in types. NCY should be good at $200.00! And is maintenance any harder. This thread may take some experienced folks. Thanks if you gotta dime!!

Only a pod... I would say try 4 and buy 2 bigger also- try 4 then try 2 and if you don't hear a (waaaaa/hollow) sound up high especially I would do as small as I could. No hp pipe not much needed. Then, try your down low rich/lean buy a warm up,then get to slowish speed stay on throttle a little while steady...then punch and it should be snappy. If boggs you can bump jet needle clip or if non adjustable, get 3mm flat washer and bump the needle thats on top part of carb. 2 screws and worth the small fuss. Also, check out help files on here about pilot jets. You could prob just turn idle A/F ratio screw back(counter clock) if idle is to lean. Oil breaking down quick is a lean running sign.

I bought a cheap heavy single anvil craftsman, best IMO cause you can do small single wacks at a time and of course then there's the lighter air pressure so seems safe to me. It does take practice to know what your doing, but I hate to think of someone learning with out a cheap single (heavy) single anvil one.

Did you solve that problem. If you have a perf pipe, drive slow to warm up, then wot a little. Pull over and immediately check if pipe is cooler. Will only work for perf pipe as they cool greatly and you can get an idea of running cold(would be running rich) and no where near burn yourself. I had same jerk and my instance was rich and another way to test with perf pipe is to put baffel in and it should richen up and pipe should be cooler and or bog at wot because of over rich. I suspect it is like 2 jet sized equivalent running baffel in when normally you run without.

I have had several scoots, my 50cc (50mm Ncy bbk) Taotao cy50 (T3) was awesome. 55 mph on a garmin... of course that's waaayyyy all out and only for test, but I personally hate 150 bounce/wobble from the engine iso bar!! I had not changed the gears on Taotao, just kit, mech ported head (hoca) and 24mm carb w/ Ncy pipe. Ran till wheels fell off. Many thousands of miles. Only a belt break in all of that. Point.. 50cc w/ hugh bbk 50mm is cool but now in md can't even ride on shoulder. A copper pulled me over showing me that now the new deff of roadway includes shoulder's too. Can't ride on roadway by law.So, 50 is cool but for real speeds you need a bbk. If you rode one with a bbk,24mm carb and ncy pipe, you would never step foot on a reg 50 unless you really wanted slow(30-32 mph) 150cc is a strong motor and love cruising a gps 47-52 in a slight head wind. Light wind and long straights-55 gps. I love both but for back roading really liked my 85cc Taotao. Be ware, lots of $$$$ to upgrade a 50 though.

The only 150ish cc scoot I would ride on a 55mph road is a Yamaha SMAX. Many cagers will do 65+mph on that road. If you want a 200 model scoot, check the specs to see that the engine is actually close to 200cc. Two of the more popular "200" model scooters have an engine displacing only 160or 170cc. Ripoff! You seem to indicate that you may have knowledge of many 200cc scoots being out there, was wondering,do you have a small list of shops (online) that sell air cooled Chinese 200cc scoots? I have one now but want an option for next one I get and have only seen 2 of lty? Thanks,Bill

I did, they delivered my scoot quickly. Just over a week, which is excellent for freight delivery IMO. I would use them again if I were in the market for another chinese bike. Awesome, prices are good, but I think they had 200cc scooters and I like those, they really have torque fun factor.

I suppose that is possible too. Is there any way I can inspect this to verify that might not be the case? I really cannot afford to buy these parts, the reason I have a scooter is I can't afford anything else. Unless you have installed clutch springs you may not be familiar with how to take them out and then reinstall to feel tightness and final fit,but gy6 store has them for I believe $7.00 and God willing they do work and you will get a feel how to fix them. They should fit in snug and be kinda hard to use a pic to get them in place. Also if you do buy some, watch out, they can and may get ya pricked if not cat like. Look at first reply Gy6er made.
