Vespa didn't cut the mustard in performance or reliability. She was fun to ride and all but after the second ride in the back of pick-up (one in my boss' truck on a failed work mission) she got sold. I got the Honda then sold the Vespa. My first bike was the 500 version of what I'm riding now and the full fairing and full luggage set is nice too have. I use the bike year round as my primary transportation for work and in the course of business. The Burgman was a great bike for this but lacked soul and was too appliance like. The Honda has all the character with a nice V-twin growl and is practical for my needs. At 55 mpg It gets similar mileage as the Burgman and better than the Vespa so there you have it. Got her for $1200 so all in all it was hard to find a scooter that would do the long distances I ride up enormous hills through mountains and all that in my price range.

I can see how unsealing them can cause issues as they aren't designed to be unsealed but leaving them sealed won't make any difference at all. I've seen a couple of bearings in my time on earth too. The right way to do this is to get the right bearings and install them rather than modifying the wrong kind... Or does all your experience teach you its best to use the wrong parts??

Seriously snap some pics so we can see it and help you. I haven't personally seen any mini choppers with 2 stroke engines, though I imagine it's possible, I usually see 4 strokers...

A-- looks like it has a plug in it thats the fuel line B looks like an over flow and C is the carb drain the little screw next to will open and it will drain the carb threw C I always start mine with what setting its set at See if A is a plug if it is your not getting any fuel The post above is inaccurate the one I quoted is correct meaning, C is not the inlet it's the carb drain, B overflow and A inlet. Yes it looks plugged

Why would a sealed bearing get too hot when its packed in grease. Leave it alone it's designed to be sealed don't change anything. You gear case doesn't get all that hot and I'm certain unsealing that could lead to an unhappy day...

Has anyone found any good looking flame decals? Most of what I have seen just look like cheap stickers that belong in a child's coloring book. Exactly don't do it. If I was going to remove stickers the first one gone would be the silly "Bravo" on the bottom. the rest don't bother me all that much.

It doesn't vent like that it needs to be a vent that opens to the air. I think some use a fuel filter there. The clear hose can go away...
