I recently removed my stock air filter box, and installed a straight air intake. The stock air filter box has a small compartment on the bottom that the valve cover vent tube attaches to, and then the clear catch tube attaches to the other side. This compartment has a very small hole that goes into the air filter box. I have attached the two tubes together with a spare elbow I had lying around. Question is, should I use a T connector and run a small line to my straight line air intake to try and replicate the stock air filter box's setup? Here's how I have it now, the plug in the end of the catch tube was always there, but now there is no venting to the air intake like on stock:

It doesn't vent like that it needs to be a vent that opens to the air. I think some use a fuel filter there. The clear hose can go away...

Thanks, I thought it needed some sort of vent hole. I just replaced the fuel filter, it was part of the stage 3 BBK kit I got. I'll use the original fuel filter on the end of that vent tube.

you need an air breezer filter and some kind of oil catch can. otherwise your filter will be clogged with oil.

Cool, thanks! I'll zip tie it up on the frame.
