Just curious how you would rate yours and what kind of stopping power you get. I'd rate mine 5 outa 10 even after flushing the front. Back I still need to adj. For the front being disc I would expect better. Might just take them off and have a looksy later.

crappola. I checked the blinkers before putting everything back together and they worked. Now they just stay on and don't blink. Got the left/right correct. What would happen if i mix and matched the green and brown? Wouldn't it still work correctly? Ground is ground and the other goes to the relay? Thought i was done and ready to ride *I decided to not upgrade the hoses nor paint the exhaust until after I have actually bought it. Also need a new fuel filter and manual petcock. That should wrap it up right? damn, been in the garage almost the whole day other than small errands.

Just bled the front brakes. Took forever to get the housing off so i could even get to the master cylinder as I had no idea what to do. No biggy once you figure out which screws to remove and which don't need to be. Then i came to my first of three stripped screws. Pretty sad as i bet they came from the factory that way. Or maybe the company that imported it and assembled? Second screw was on the master cylinder cover. My fault I guess as it was siezed in there. Need to find a replacement. Thank God for reverse easy-outs. Didn't even think that would work but it did. I'm dissapointed how the throttle feels so lubed that up and also the cable. Stupid me didn't take any picutres so now i can't remember how to reassemble it. Don't know what my problem is but i always jump in without thinking, LOL. Now off to search for a video to make sure i get all that back together correctly. Then off to the store for replacement screws. Hopefully Ace will have stuff.

I'll probably offer $250-$300. If i was going to turn around and sell it (which i would never do), what would be a starting point? I feel bad because the guy probably paid near full new retail for it way back then, but it's been sitting for over 4years. I have no idea what that price would have been. Over 1K?

Thanks guys, still not sure what happened. The stand was in it's proper stowed position when she took off and the spring works fine. Now i come to find out she was taking a left turn...but at 5-10mph i still don't see how anything could have scraped the ground unless she was already headed in that direction. I'm really going to have to chalk this one up to rider error/inexperience until i can proper ride it myself and see if i can duplicate the circumstance. I figure i should have everything properly repaired by next week. *that picture was when i received the scoot, tire is fixed **I'll try and get a better picture of the muffler in the next couple of days...it must be stock though as no one has modded the scoot at all.

Is there any conceivable way the center stand can come down while riding? If you are going in a straight line it can't do more harm than dragging on the ground. What if you were turning? I'm seriously thinking somehow the kick starter is engaging and shooting down causing the center stand to come down. This might make sense as the two metal tabs on either side were bent and the center stand was all the way forward. The reason I ask is I asked the wife to try out the new scoot and compare it to her's. Made it about 2 blocks to the stop sign and started off taking a right when she wiped out. I noticed the center stand was down all the way (thrown forward even as those tabs have not been welded up yet). Maybe this is why the previous owner wiped out?!? I understand it's pointed backwards and even coming down shouldn't do more than drag on the ground. I'm just confused. F(^&ck I feel like s%$#t now. This is what i mean by forward

Well she's up and running. Had to be the carb...not sure. After disassemble, cleaning, loosing the spring under the needle jet, searching for spring for almost an hour, finding spring stuck to my magnetic parts bowl, re-assembly...she started right up first try. Took and IPA to get the plastics back on though. Only missing 2 bolts and a few screws (screws were missing before hand). Gotta admit, kinda freaky riding a scooter! Riding a motorcycle is almost second nature. Riding a scooter will take an adjustment. Anyway, now that it's running the REAL question. It is a 2008 model. Tabs say 2011. Scraped up from at least one crash/drop/lay-down, whatever you prefer. 38.99 miles now 39.5 after test ride. So i know the odometer works somewhat. Not sure about the mph though. I thought the brakes sucked but after thinking it's been sitting for so long maybe i will flush the system and refill, along with replacing hoses and such. From what little i know. Guy bought and rode and maybe wrecked really within miles. Sat for a long time. Took it to a shop that charged him over $200 to get running again (new battery, checked charging system and cleaned fuel system). Sat again for ever because his wife says she won't let him ride again. Maybe he crashed twice, not sure. I asked him about it and he said i can take it, fix it, and then talk about a price. Or if I can't fix it he would pay me to get rid of it. I honestly think he just wants to see someone use it...LOL. So the question is...how much is it worth and how much should i actually pay the guy knowing i'm very honest and the guy is above me where i work ?

Someone mentioned it in that thread but is the brake off? I just removed mine and it wouldn't budge cause i had the brake lever bungied to take the nut off...LOL Otherwise i just wiggled the wheel off easy.
*i did take the circlip off which i noticed was not necessary.
*edit...sorry, reading comprehension is not my strong suit. Now i see wheel moves freely.

I've taken the back plastics off to acces everything and started cleaning. Carb was in better shape than i thought it would be. A little varnish but it all cleaned up easy My problem is i was taking it apart and next thing i know that brass piece is lying there. Not sure where it goes. I ended up putting it under the jet long side down like it kinda is in the pic. Is that right? Right now i have gas, spark (looks fine but i wouldn't know how it's supposed to look), and air. Just keeps cranking over but doesn't sound like it's even catching. I'm assuming i messed something up in the carb and need to take it back off and check. Any suggestions? Here you can see the brass piece sticking up with the jet needle going through it

Well I'm back. I've had this in the works since, well, i signed up on this board. Finally worked out. *i love pics, hahaha, sorry It's in a lot rougher shape then i was hoping. check out the stand foot thingy...bent all out of shape Will be welding the tabs back on in the coming weeks. Wish i could do it now since it would make working on the thing easier.

Last year 0400 going to work. Truck was broke down for 3 months so i rode every day. Obviously not a scooter, but i must have had more wind on me. Actually had a lot of fun riding everyday. Only thing i missed was the feeling in my legs and hands...also that cup of coffee on the way into work...LOL
