Debated writing anything or not. All to often a supplier makes a mistake (like we all do) and the customer complains. Not to often does the customer give praise when the supplier goes above and beyond or even just gives good costumer service. Don't get me wrong, sometimes that complaint is very much validated. I really wish that all venders understood that good customer service...or service that just isn't bad is a must. It really does go a long way.
I ordered a few parts from Scrappy. Everything was done via web, nothing unusual, everything straight forward. Almost everything was shipped together and right away. Arrived at my doorstep on time. Opening the box reveled a few things. Spark plug was BO (which i new about from the confirmation email). There were two small ziplock baggies, one contained body clips and the other which was supposed to contain the corresponding screws was sealed but contained nothing. Not sure how it happened but the screws were lose in the shipping box. No big deal since all were accounted for. All the other items were in the box except for the VACUUM OPERATED FUEL VALVE PETCOCK (TANK MOUNT). In it's place was a IN-LINE VACUUM FUEL VALVE.
At this point i was very disappointed, but honestly wasn't sure if it was my fault for ordering the right thing or not. I would have liked a packing slip but it was easy enough to look at emails and their web site and figure out the wrong part was shipped. I actually triple checked just to make sure. Very embarrassing when complaining and you are the one wrong.
Normally I would call (i HATE talking on the phone) but decided to try something else. After reading one or two bad reviews posted on this forum I wanted to try an experiment. Instead of calling I sent an email knowing full well it's harder to communicate back and forth via email then one quick phone call. In the email i pasted my order and also stated the part i got instead of the part I ordered. I said I needed the correct part and asked what other information they needed to correct this problem.
You know what they did? Scrappy sent me an answering email apologizing and listed the correct part was being shipped out. Wow. Correct part arrived shortly.
I left my email open enough were they could have gone any which way. Could have made me send the part back, could have told me to send a picture of wrong part, could have refunded the difference, heck..could have not even replied to me.
Also the spark plug. Other than a BO notice i had no idea when it would arrive. Really wasn't all to worried since It was less than a $3 part. I actually ran out to the store and bought one since the scoot wasn't running and I wanted to try that first. The very next day my plug came in the mail from Scrappy. Funny how that works. When i opened it up the plug was an upgrade. Not sure if their back orders never came in and they sent what they had, or maybe it was a mistake.
Just a very LONG way to say THANK YOU.

Shampoo bottle here. Cut off the front and back to however large piece you need. Small enough to pack with you. Tough enough for 3-4 tire changes. Make sure it's the shampoo bottle and not the conditioner one.

All my parts are months out....so i (actually the wife did it while i was at work) went to the auto parts store and got a new plug. NGK to replace the crappy one.
Damn thing started up on the first revolution i swear. No hesitation at all during my quick 2 mile test ride. Didn't feel like it quite had the take-off of before but that could have just been low tire psi or just me or even the gap.
My guess is i was mixing stabil in with the gas (says you can run it with ANY engine) and the scoot didn't like it. Made it run a little richer. No more of that stuff in my gas. We shall see in the coming miles whether that was all it needed or not. Of course the rainy season is beginning too.
*edit...started up great this morning. Did notice the right/rear turn signal is now constantly on. All others work normal. YAY, now i get to take all the plastics off again and find the problem. Maybe I'll luck out and it will be at the bulb end, nice and easy?

Nah, not adjustable.
Heck, last time I had it completely apart it took 1/2 to reassemble it..hahahaha. Had to have the stupid thing lined up perfectly.
I'm really praying it's not an "adjustment" I need to make because i'm tired of buying things. I'll admit it does sound like it with the little stumble it has though. It was running great before for the last 250miles and I didn't change anything.

it's never over....
in the beginning. Fuel sensor wasn't working so took it out to look at it. Noticed the broken float. Put it back together and ordered a new unit. Kept riding until unit arrived. In the mean time noticed a slight "bog", more of a fuel cut off or hesitations. Was positive that the carb probably had debris in it. Replaced fuel unit, replaced fuel line, replaced fuel petcock, cleaned carb, replaced gas. Problem still persists.
Really only notice it under acceleration at half throttle or more. Could be a clogged jet but i cleaned everything good! Doesn't act like it's going to die like a real bog, just a jerk/hesitation in power that recovers on it's own.
Ordered a manual petcock since it's hard starting now...taking a second or two to get the gas flowing which i don't like. Will most likely take off P.A.I.R. system also (shhh don't tell those guys that told me to take it off in the beginning.) Mine looks a little different is another reason why I'm hesitant. Also will check valves (300 miles now)
Parts may take up to a month to get in so will post up results after. Wish me luck as I'm still riding her. 5 miles to work each way.

Last update just for horace and lain. Got it all put back together. Put 5 panels of plastics on before I realized I had forgotten to hook up all the rear lights. As I'm hooking up the lights i GUESSED which was left and right. Still haven't checked to see if i'm right but I had a % chance of being correct. Frustrated with the hoses for sure. Sucks when you have to use 2 zip ties to make sure the fuel does not leak. Replaced 2 air hoses and actually had to melt the end to get it pliable enough to slip over the connector. I'm actually a tiny bit embarrassed that when I went to put the seat back on the charcoal canister was in the way. Spent more time messing with that than anything else. There is a good chance I will remove it next time I have to take the seat off and get in there. EDit- O' and how stupid is the fuel float that reads 1/4 tank when it's about 3/4. Pretty useless. Both my scoots do this. *There have been a few PDI posts but one stands out. Guy actually supplied links to where/which hoses and stuff to buy. Wish i could find that.
